Ms. Pelosi's statements notwithstanding, Republicans will force the removal of Pelosi's tax increases. They'll also demand a full amendment process, meaning that they'll force an up-or-down vote on the American Energy Act.



If Democrats defeat the AEA, they're political history. The AEA is the energy plan that should've been passed in Bush's first term.
