Of course to figure out who that is, you will need to read the book. However, I can assure you that it will be worth it as you will not be able to put it down!

I just finished this book a few weeks ago as well. Truly a great read! I got interested in the book after reading Krakauer's initial article, which re-ran in Outside Magazine this past summer. I also read about Sean Penn's involvement with the family with regards to making the film. Now that I have read the book, it is time to see the movie!

I buy about 90% of our music off of itunes simply due to the fact that it is so user-friendly to download. having the options of downloading a song or two or deciding to go with the entire album is nice.

Mike - I think your issue of sound quality is definitely tied to the FM transmitter.

I had an AUX jack in the element and now use a peripheral ipod adapter in the avalanche. I have had great success with both of them. I also have a 6-disc deck in the avalanche and do switch back and forth every now and then. However, I cannot tell a difference in sound quality when i do.

I've already had the experience of having a movie deleted on Direct TV PPV. This was bad enough but at least I did not get charged for the movie. However, the new 24 hour rule is pretty much a bag of crap.

The Manhattan connection of Michael, his suicide attempts and the dead guy in the coffin is interesting. It would make sense Michael is the one in the coffin after watching last night's suicide attempts and he is not exactly makes amends with anyone.

I thought the same thing re the sound in the background in Libby's 2nd scene. Totally thought it sounded like the smoke monster.

All in all, another great episode and more so, a fantastic ending! Sucks to have to wait 4 weeks until it airs again.

Finally, a film that does a book justice. The acting, music, cinematography and directing of this film are truly amazing.

After reading Krakauer's piece that was republished last summer in Outside Magazine, I became hooked on this story. I have read multiple articles on Penn's preparation for the movie as well as his connection with the family - both have aided to the overall quality of this film. If I recall correctly, he shot at 36 different locations for the film.

For those that choose not to read the book, this movie will serve as a solid substitute for those interested in taking a look at the journey of Christopher McCandless.

The show takes times to develop. Once you get into the characters and their idiosyncrasies, the show becomes extremely addictive.

I relate it to Seinfeld. I was not a fan at first but once I learned the ins and outs of each character, I was hooked.

No blue ray yet for me. going to wait it out until prices fall on the players. hopefully, at some point, they will. Not too mention, with having a DVR, we just do not watch as many DVD's as we used to.

as for renting dvd's, i am cool with watching them for comedies. however, i probably will opt to go pay per view if it is an action movie in hd.

Phillis definitely has the short game to win at Augusta. However, if the leaderboard is crowded come Sunday, I simply do not see his driver holding up on the back nine.

@ Jason - Agree with your take on Indy about doing the "right thing for the right reason". However, couldn't you make the same argument for Bourne? He is fighting to regain his identity and independence.

The debate seems to be focusing more on "Action" and less on "Hero". If you look for balance between the two, Mike may have a point with arguing for McClaine.

I agree with Jina on the expectations of the office. However, their consistency week in and week out make it difficult not to have high expectations.

As for Tracy Morgan, I am still 50/50 on his character. Their are times where I find his character annoying. None the less, the rest of the show is awesome!

Amazing episode. Loved the expressions on Sawyer's face after Ben pulled out the shotgun and on Ben's face after he manipulated Sayid.

Loved Ben's little bat cave that allows him to time travel. Look forward to learning more about that.

This episode was somewhat anti-climatic after last week's show. However, as Mike points out, there were lots of clues for future episodes.

I did love it when Sawyer was interrogating Miles about Claire. Miles mentions that he did not try and stop her because of the restraining order. classic! Sawyer got a taste of his own medicine there.

My favorite part on the office was Dwight's flipping Andy's Xterra. That was awesome! I am going to use some of Dwight's negotiating skillz with some of my customers. Should be interesting to see how that goes over.

I have met a number of politicians over the years...Trent Lott, Newt and Cheney. The most famous was President Bush. I got to spend about a half hour with him and Laura when they were on the campaign trail in 2000. However, this was when I was working for Slade the Blade, so it was part of the job.

Outside of that, I met Shaq in the Vegas airport back when he was playing for Orlando. He was not doing any pictures, but I still took a pic of him sitting there. The man is a beast.

In the clip from last week with Horace, Tracy recognized him. I was not sure, but turns out she called it correctly.

All in all, great episode. Claire in the cabin is a trip. Loved the fact that ben and hurly shared a candy bar.

Next week should shape up to be another intense show.

typically i do not watch a great deal on CBS. However, Two and a Half Men is a great show. I actually think the writing has gotten better over the past two seasons.

This is one of those comedies that surprises you with some of the stuff they are able to get onto network tv.

we should not be too shocked when the likes of stone or michael "i need to go on the subway diet" moore make movies like this. the timing is right for the liberals to get their jabs in now. come january the tides will turn and their window of opportunity to proper financially will close significantly.

what hurts bush even more in a situation like this is his presidency followed the smoothest talkin' politician we have seen since JFK. that only made his speech stumbling that much worse.

Just finished The Heroin Diaries by Nikki Sixx. Book was truly insane as it tracks his extreme cocaine/heroin addiction from Dec '86 through Dec '87. Amazingly enough he kept diaries during this time and used dialog from himself, band members and friends to fill in the gaps and tie the story together.

Was this the rated PG version of the review? Felt the review missed the funniest parts/lines of the show.

This episode was certainly not their best, but it beat last year's episodes by far. I also disagree that their humor seemed forced. The morgue scene was hilarious, especially with the comments made from the guy working there. I about lost it when he brought up the yogurt and popsicle. Once again the show pushes the limit with scenes like that as well as the scene with the Gorilla mask. All in all, I believe it was a great start to the season.

This was one of those episodes that simply got funnier with every scene. By the end, I was in tears. This one became an instant classic episode for them.
