in TIF District plan taking shape Future of Route 28 development still up in the air on Derry News
You can't really compare big cities with smaller towns/communities. With their infrastructure it only makes sense that their overall costs - fire, police, public transportation etc. would drive up the taxes. I do however agree that unless a boat load of businesses open in Derry taxes will never go down and even with that it would drive up our infrastructure costs.

in Sausage vendor found guilty, vows to fight on on Derry News
Every town I know of has street vendors. All of a sudden "street vendors" aren't good enough for Derry? LMAO. The other day I was up in Concord and there were street vendors all over the place. Heaven forbid the town do anything to create a "small town" appealing atmosphere. Picking on a sausage vendor who's trying to make a living. Outrageous imo.

in Hotline on Derry News
Personally I shop downtown Nashua and Concord and always hit Portsmouth in the summer. I think more shops in the downtown would be nice. People are getting sick of malls and mainstreets seem to be making a come back.
