Hello!
The "fn" key is very useful if you have any application linked to the F keys (F1, F2, ecc...)
Using Windows (both virtualized or with bootcamp) having those keys available is quite important. I have moved the function keys on Fn+F, so I can use the direct keys when I work in Parallels.
Cheers

Frag!
I've just seen the episode and I am quite... I don't know!
I can't believe that a character like Starbuck is out. I hope she will not turn out to be a Cylon (I don't believe it, because her mother was sure she was her daughter... but she told it only at the end of Kara's dream, so it can be false)
Well...
I don't know if I've really enjoyed the show :(

Hi Jason!
The album is quite good, even if I have to admit that only few songs are those you will sing every time, and Don’t Feel Like Dancin’ is one of those!
In these months I have been hit by both the Scissor Sisters and Orson. I can't stop singing No Tomorrow too! Don't really know why every time I think of one of the two songs, the other comes into my mind, probably because they have been the songs that have accompanied my during my move to London.
Mental Connections works weirdly sometimes...
Cheers

Hi!
I agree on your points. More than this I have to say that I hate when the sites gives you only a breadcrumb of the information, because they want some more stats, more direct visits, more ads.
The key is that through the RSS is hard to pass the adverts, therefore it implies less earning.
From the other side, when I feel really interested in a post, I like to view it in its environment, the color of the site and the possibility to comment...
...pro and con, but definitely a point worth a though! Personally I put the entire content on RSS, just because I think that the reader of my blog would appreciate to read what I write wherever they like!
Cheers
PS: of course the loss of earning from Google Ads, in my case, should not be taken seriously :)

Well, I think that Mike Butcher wrote a very important things on a comment:
THINK before you write anything online, because it will be there forever, in one form or another
and it is true. Not only you should be responsible for what you write, but you should also be aware that whatever you write, even you delete it after few minutes, would probably be logged on the search engine servers, through the RSS feeds and whatsoever!!
I've read Sethi's post (the one that was deleted) but unfortunately Google Cache is no longer active... I will try to get it. I had read the incriminated post, and it was nothing so bad, but of course I read it from my own perspective!
Cheers

Well,
my blog is quite small (I'm happy to have something more than 100 visitors a day) and I thought for an adsense... but I decided that I wouldn't have got nothing but few dollars a years.
I don't blog for money... maybe for fame, maybe just because I like having a shoutbox!
I personally think that money-driven blog are less interesting, because I don't get the "written-from-the-heart" style. Maybe I'm wrong...

in Spam, Spam, Spam… on Webomatica
Hello!
Well, I've noticed different type of spammer, that I divide in different categories:
- Ignorant: those who send tons of trash an links. they are simply ignorant, because they "ignore" the fact that the site is running an AntiSpam filter that easily blocks their fake comments.
- Stupid: because they spam from a fixed IP address over and over again. Too easy to be stopped, too easy to send a mail to their provider at their abuse mail.
- Tester: those who sends spam with link to google or somewhere else, who usually try to test your Anti Spam to understand if your defences are high.
- Sharp: those who adapt their spam in order to try to trick the anti spam.
Of course some times some real comments are set as spam because of their "granularity"... well in order to stop 100, one can be a false positive.
I think that no real efforts has been made to stop the spam. The spammers are really p*****g me off...
Cheers

Well, I have to admit that the beginning of this season has been really great, but I don't dislike the latest episodes.
They are going deep into the human psychology, digging into the characters with small pieces of information. I am not expecting nukes every single episode, and the characters advancement is written in a strange, but very thoughtful way.
The last episode can be seen from two different points of view: you can see the easy episode of fighting, feedback and empty words, or you can watch the episode where you could have seen deeply the psychological issues that are driving (and that have driven) four of the mayor characters.
I'm enjoying the season, because it's more human, it's more dark and deep into the human nature.
Of course these are points of view...

in Web 2.0 Bubble Predictions for 2007 on Webomatica
Hey, have you ever heard about Nostradamus? He published a lot of prophecies in the 1500 and he talked about the end of the world in the year 2000...
...he is well known also because his writings were very hard to decypher, so the same idea should be read in ten different ways.
Now your first steps to become the "Bubble Prophet" are really good... but you are giving too many details! :)
:D
Sorry, joking of course.
There are things in this post that are SO INCREDIBLE that no one sane would ever think about, but there are people that DO those things! Now, we were talking about Social networking and Human Beings some days ago, also here the human influence (or stupidity) will drive the choices of this "bubble".
Cheers

in Very Bubble Web 2.0, Web 3.0 Article on Webomatica
Moving the interest of those who have the money and are not skilled enough to understand what "Web X.Y" is, is a good way of making the money move.
Is there a Bubble risk like in the .com some years ago? Yes, at least IMHO.
Too many people are talking about Web2.0 and Web3.0, but there is nothing "solid" to talk about. We can discuss about sematic or interaction, but still there is a lot of fog between all these versions of the web and the real functionalities.
Ask someone a question: What Web 2.0 does? Exactly!
You will get thousands of different answers, and even if a lot of them will be similar, the root of everything remains evanescent...
Would you invest a lot of money in a startup for this?
I don;t deny that someone has been brave enough (and with brilliant ideas too) to become the new Bill Gates, but we shouldn't forgot that Google is NOT born as a Web 2.0 company. Now it's moving (and very well indeed) in order to make the most from its own (huge) basin of brilliant people and ideas.
I fear that too many people will invest their money in "air" and that a lot of them will fall... with all their crew.
Cheers

Differently from Battlestar Galactica, I have read this post carefully.
In one year and a half FCHOUSE has been opened I've lived many different "Periods", fought against the things I thought "incorrect" and changed a lot of things.
Sometimes I've written several post every day, sometimes the "dark period" has left the blog quite empty for too long.
I have to admit that I follow the points you have stated (even if my english is not very good) but the "Large numbers" has never reached my shores. Yes, I've done a lot of mistakes and I will still do (english, arguments too wide and so on) but I'm quite happy with something like 100 visitors a day.
My blog is a ShoutPost for my thoughts, and I feel Good writing in it, letting it become another part of me!
Good Job!!!!
Cheers
