Hi Rob and thanks for pointing this out. The tests were compiled from a number of different sources so there is likely to be some semantic overlap. I would prefer to keep the tests that were sourced from a particular site so I can demonstrate that my function passes all the published tests for that source, even if there's some duplication.

Rob - did you mean to include the comma in that address? If so it will fail the validator as the comma isn't allowed in a domain part. I can include this test but I'd like to understand more about the value of the test and whether you expect it to succeed or fail.

Close down all of the local bars, clubs and "mini-marts" (known for illegal activity) where these hood rats hang out and they will be forced to go else where. Then the cops just need to start pulling people over for ANY suspicious vehicle not racial profiling but keeping a tighter eye out on the little things. My 4x4 truck gets pulled over ALL the time and it's stupid! Yeah, it's big, but I'm not shooting at anyone! These fools speed around Gilroy in there hoopties and nothing happens to them?? Give me a break! If I can spot out the punks.... Where are the cops when you need them? Oh yeah, AL layed them off! Except for those knuckle heads who don't like my truck :P

Yeah, except not all of these gang bangers are from Gilroy. Most of them are coming in from other areas. You are correct we do need better teachers in the classroom, but we also need better teachers at HOME!! Let's get these parents educated on raising there kids. Most of which are low income families that have two working parents and no one at home to guide them. If we spend some time and money on teaching these people to care about the direction their kids are headed and the consequences if they don't care, then maybe we can stop the cycle.

At the same time, I feel excellent teachers can engage students in the classroom and influence the mindsets of their students by getting them to believe that success in life is possible if they work hard in school. I do not think this is happening for the at-risk population at Gilroy High School.
We have very little control about what is happening in the homes of our students, but we have significantly greater control in our classrooms. The challenge is finding the best teacher talent and principals to lead these classrooms and schools.
