in Ripe for an upset? Not so fast on Inside the Hall
I forgot to mention, the biggest reason I'm fearing this game is our track record in recent years in the Barn. They may not change the air system when we have the ball or pump in noise (that's the Metrodome), but we never look our best there.

I'm still pretty nervous about tonight. I just hope the Hoosiers don't look past tonight (I don't expect them to), because we have a really solid chance to stretch our record if we make it through tonight unscathed.

I'm loving that DJ and EJ are both hitting at the same time now. I'd hate to be on the other side of the ball, when they're on offense. Scoring is inevitable now.

in Le Weekend: Louisville and Kentucky aren’t good on Inside the Hall
Best of luck to Hardy. It's cool to think that it's four years later, and we're still talking about Hardy going pro--albeit now we're talking football and not basketball. For people that forget, Hardy (Fort Wayne's all-time points leader) was runner up to Ratliff for Mr. Basketball.
Also, Hardy only played football his final two years of HS for the worst team in the city (probably state), as they needed bodies.
With all that being said and as a Colts fan, I want Tracy Porter.

Another great Majerus line from when they were discussing Rudy Gay (from UConn) in the studio: "I'm not a big gay guy."

Steve Lavin has always been a favorite of mine, and this doesn't hurt either. The Big Ten trio is the greatest--Lavin, Musberger, and Erin Andrews.
I'm also kind of bummed that Rick Majerus got back into coaching; I enjoyed him on TV: "Robert Vahhhden is great on OHHffense in the POHHst."

I can't think of a legit reason to ever boo an IU player.

in Report: Tyler Zeller will choose North Carolina on Inside the Hall
From my understanding the sanctions played a big part in his decision; we were the front runner until that happened.
However, I'm okay with him not coming here, since he didn't choose Purdue. Best of luck TZ.

in Senderoff dismissal raises more questions on Inside the Hall
I agree with your comment Michael. I've also been one stating that intent plays a big part in my opinion on this whole situation. However, it's something we will never know.
Also, with the situation the staff was in the last year, with Sampson being barred from calling recruits or leaving campus, you would figure they would do absolutely everything in their power to not put their hand back in the cookie jar.
And that's my big problem with all of this, regardless if the intent was there or not, this situation is pathetic and it's wrong either way.

I just see this as being that Senderoff was nothing but a recruiter; therefore, with the self-imposed sanctions on his position, he's deemed worthless to the program. Hopefully, we can fill his position with someone that can add value to the program outside of recruiting, as the sanctions remain on whoever is in that position.

FWIW, Senderoff was in the lobby, as we were going to sit down about 20-30 minutes before the practice started.

Purdue basketball and dynasty in the same sentence is high quality stuff. I didn't know you schools with 0 championships could talk about dynasties.
On a related note, did everyone see Gene Keady's going to be an analyst on BTN?

in Hoosier Hysteria kicks off the season on Inside the Hall
The crowd was great last night--easily the most packed I've seen Hoosier Hysteria/Midnight Madness in my four years here.
All the recruits were right to the left of where I was sitting tonight, and they were definitely loving the attention as they ALL got their names chanted by the crowd at one point.
Eli Holman is definitely going to be my favorite player; he seemed to be eating this all up last night. He looked great in the scrimmage and drills. He'll be a huge presence for us on both sides of the court this season--that was absolutely huge to hear he's cleared tonight by Sampson.
And what I saw on here earlier this week about DT being an x-factor for the Hoosiers could be true--seeing him on campus and last night, he's slimmed down BIG TIME from when I first saw him at the Adidas May Classic. He had no problem running the court in the scrimmage; I don't think his weight will be a concern at all.

in Why Eli Holman is my favorite Hoosier on Inside the Hall
Great article E. We kind of forget that these players are human beings and actually have lives off the court as well. Eli's definitely had his share of struggles and triumphs before ending up in Bloomington, and I'm more than glad he's a Hoosier.
Here's hoping to see him dunk and swat a few on Friday night.

in Who will start for the Hoosiers? on Inside the Hall
I agree with this starting lineup being the initial one, but one of the new guys (Thomas or Eli) will be the center in the lineup and DJ will be the 4 in place of Stemler by the new year.
