I'm so terribly sorry. But hopefully he has many many happy healthy years ahead of him.

I think it's natural that you connect more with one human being than another, regardless of the fact that you gave birth to them both. But it's also possible that their stages of development are causing this. It might even out or they might switch places.

Now I have to disable the track pad most of the time because I will accidentally do things I didn't mean to do when I'm typing. That was the biggest headache I had about getting a laptop in the first place. I HATE the track pad.

AndreAnna has corrected me! I never knew that such technology existed. Although in my defense I had ultrasounds at three different doctors and not a one of 'em let me hear anything.

And DD brings up a good point. I thought all pregos got an initial ultrasound to see the heartbeat and determine the number of buns in the oven. I had the first at my REI's office before he booted me to the regular OB and then she did one as part of my very first OB visit, but maybe she only did that since she knew I'd had IUI. Hmmmm....interesting things to ponder.

Thank god, Sarah, because ALL free and clear is the only sane choice and if you don't use it then you are destined to burn in hell with itchy skin for the rest of your life. Not only that but the terrorists win if you use Tide.

Jake, not guilty about chewing in general, but chewing the communion wafer, which is (if you believe such things) the body of Christ. Now if your church always offers wine (aka the blood of Christ) you're good because you can kind of swish around and get that wafer off the roof of your mouth.

I'm not the biggest supporter of the Catholic church but I can see that if you truly believe that the wafer is the body of Christ, chewing it is a bit.... unseemly.

I don't think we have grub worms. Our junebug problem is not that bad - they just gross me out so seeing one is a big deal to me. I think it's pretty standard to see junebugs at night when you have the porch light on when it starts to get warm. I don't see them all the time. But I might have to put down the nemetodes just in case!

Yeah, maybe they have something that won't kill the dogs in the process. Ick.

Yes, my horrid Wal-Mart experience was at that neighborhood market by your house. It was close, and it IS cheap, but good lord. I'd rather cut my tongue out than deal with that place again. Except they have those yummy fresh made tortillas. Why can't my Tom Thumb get a tortilla maker???

in A Fine Line Between Forgive and Forget on Spuddy Buddy
Nikka and Sarah are both right. After thinking about it more, I realize that forgiveness just takes the anger out of the memory. Do I still remember that 3 a.m. fight with my dad on the front lawn? You betcha! Do I get mad at him all over again when I think about it? No. I guess THAT'S forgiveness.

I don't know about the RSS feed issue, but I'll refer it to the IT department (aka Jake) and see what he says. Thanks for letting me know.

Yeah, it could be allergic. I was tested a few years ago, so I know I am not allergic to my pets. I am however, pretty allergic to dust, which I am convinced is how this all started - with a vigorous housecleaning that stirred up a bunch of dust. Maybe we should have our air ducts cleaned....
