I know I’m late in this one but we went in without a plan and that has been a huge problem. We have several choices right now one being keep our troops in and pray that they aren’t picked off one by one. Hmm that ain’t working! At what point does this country see that they need to stop wandering around looking for a camera to put their faces in front of when a bombing happens and take some control. I have yet to see, it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening, a story like “ The people clean up the streets and rebuild” Our government is in a huge mess thanks to all sides. Bush put us in deeper and it will take a lot to dig us out no matter who get elected. We need a plan to pull out, and we need to pull out.

I like to watch some of the shows. They give me ideas not that I do a huge amount of gourmet cooking.

Love Alton Brown and have made the garlic chicken he made on his show.

I like Iron Chef both versions.

Now for a Millyism,
You can have great scores in school and still be as dumb as a rock. I dated a fairly well known scientist in his field of study and the man had no common sense at times.

The plan to cut gas usage is to raise prices! What! I have to drive to work! I work to help support my family! Don’t talk to me about cutting back I don’t know where to cut from anymore.

Bush has made a huge mistake and it’s getting people killed all the while this country is suffering.

I watched some of the speech. I could see a face as he spoke. She tried to remain stoic. She did better then I did I almost choked a few times.

I have no idea about who I’ll vote for but I can guarantee that I won’t be looking at test scores. Some do better then others in book work. Some have to have jobs because parents aren’t paying for everything. There are lot’s of factors involved. I have no doubt the “W” is a smart guy I just think that he has made some very stupid mistakes.

I have very little respect for “W” he has without a doubt spent the time out of touch with us middle classers. Who ever takes over will spend most of the time untangling the mess that was left behind.

I was never for us going to war and when we did we needed to finish one before starting another. I didn’t do a Dixie Chick I’m not that unpatriotic. The bottom line is that Bush doesn’t know what he’s doing, how on earth could he? It’s war. The thing in that it’s been mishandled and as CEO he needs to step up and do something better then is being done. It’s also no surprise that they are using women and children. From each war we learn. Lives mean nothing to these folks because they die for their religion. A bomb in the pants who cares to them they just bought themselves a ticket to where ever.

The thing is that change must happen or change must happen. Bush has no idea of what the normal person lives like. He doesn’t work where I work. I see homeless families. His wife didn’t go back to work because of pay cuts or a husband laid off. A friend of mine was just laid off from her long time job. Now what? At our age it’s going to be hard to start over. You see the war isn’t the only issue. So many things have been neglected and no amount of smoke and mirrors heros and gold stars you wave in front of us is going to change how we feel. Both sides have let us down and it’s going to be a long hard fight to get this country back on it’s great feet so that we don’t fall like Babel.

The troops and their families are in my prayers.

I don’t watch very much during the day and I too love the Jerry.

I watch a select few shows like Top Chef, Without a Trace, The Nine, and Grey’s Anatomy. I have taken a liking to Men In Trees. I turn the thing off if it doesn’t have anything I want to watch. My kids keep it on the Disney Channel and Nick as much as possible if the science channel doesn’t appeal to them.

The rules in the house are that they can’t watch anything that has blood and guts, cursing, or sex for the kids. I try to be careful with them in the room.

I want the thing off when we gather around the dinner table. It’s a good time to reconnect with each other.

This was a difficult issue especially because I watched someone close to be slip away because of ALS. Her new husband unable to cope and generally being a jerk tried several ways to make it go faster. I know when it was close to ending her life on earth I prayed to make it end soon to stop her suffering. The thing is that her children wanted more time. I remember sitting with a friend in the hospital as her sister was losing the battle with her illness she said she felt selfish in asking for one more day because that meant a day of pain and suffering. When my aunt made the decision to let my uncle go we all felt it was the right one, non the less it’s hard. I don’t think it selfish and I didn’t feel it selfish when the doctors told me that mom on life support wouldn’t really be with me. I still wanted to hold her hand but she was gone. That’s not selfish it’s human. I don’t know that we will really know Terry’s true story each side gave us a different picture. I do know that she has given us a lot to think about. I’m sure that some have benefitted from her. She’s in a happy and peaceful place now.

. I have seen home school work and not work. I know of two adults that were home schooled that have no motivation to grow up and get jobs. One still lives with the parents and has no intention of moving on with his life. Neither one want to go to college. My son is very smart, smarter then I could offer. My husband and I made sure that he was in the classes he needed. He will take the ACTs soon that’s something I wouldn’t have been offering if I were home schooling him, he’s in seventh grade. In kindergarten his teacher told me he’d probably end up skipping classes.

As for how home school kids are more respectful with adults. I think it depends on how they were raised. My son loves to work at the mission down town serving food to those in need, we taught him to respect all people. In the school system they promote character counts, it’s a great program about how to treat people.

I think that some kids need to be home schooled and some don’t. My children need to be in school with lots of friends they need to hear that there is more beyond high school. If I lived in a different area with less of the school system then I most likely would give it a lot of thought.

It’s important that we as a community support each other, after all we are in this world together

My son would get looks from kids like he had two heads at times because he talks above their level. Check out the school, meet the teacher that works with the gifted kids. I’d bet that he/she would tell you that other parents feel the same way you two feel. I cried the first time I heard a teacher say “We celebrate being different” We were blessed to have teachers who fell in love with him. No kidding they would stop me in the hallway to tell me how he helped in teaching that day because he was able to break it down for them. Two of the teachers put him method to practice after years of trying to figure out how to teach kids about some math problems. A good teacher will allow that stuff. Had she shut him down he would have kept it to himself and the world would have missed out. He is currently in ninth grade algebra and advanced classes so by the time he graduates from high school he will have college credits. Look at the school system now check out what they do and how they work.

I'm not against home schooling. I just know that it isn't for us. I've seen some great co-ops
I was listening to some high school class mates talking at a reunion about how much the school we graduated from sucked. It’s true that some of the teachers were horrible, not all. I pointed out that learning begins at home. One of the girls admitted that her family didn’t sit around reading. My husband’s family didn’t, I was always with a book or a Bible when I’d go to visit my in-laws we spend a lot of time in the car so I tend to read. My mother in-law stared reading more after talking to me about books. My husband learned to sit down and read books after being with my family. You will do a great job home schooling because you will always be encouraging them to learn more and seek the world for knowledge.

As some one who knows one of the priests from another state that has been sited for sexually abusing children, he’s guilty BTW, it sickened me to hear that it was known that he was doing this. The solution was to move him to another parish and another and so on. They gave him a short amount of therapy that didn’t work. He hurt children. The church knew what many of these men were doing and did nothing to stop it. They should pay some how they didn’t alert the police and have them arrested instead they hid them and made the victims feel like they were the guilty ones.

We had three stations and PBS.

Black and white but we were the first family to have a color TV. Man did my friends think we were cool for a moment then we went outside to play. You know play outside with sticks, rocks, and our imaginations.

When I decided to go into management with the company that I worked for I was told that all of the members of upper management listened to Rush. I gave it a try to be a team player, I listen two days in a row and heard him say he hadn’t said what I heard him say the day before. No way no how was I gonna be a team player. I’m a woman so that put two strikes the third was that I voted for Bill that year despite the fact that the big dogs told me exactly what he had done and that it was going to hit the fan if he was elected. I remember thinking if folks knew it why didn’t they use it before he was elected.

I’d still vote for him again.

Refuse communion. I don’t think that we have the right to refuse communion to anyone. If I take communion and sin against God then that is my sin. I guess that many of us aren’t worthy of communion in the Bishops eyes.

I think that the Bishop has every right to voice his opinion on issues at hand. I also think that the Catholic Church has a very weak standing right now.

I shared some stuff on my blog. I don’t have a living will at the moment but my husband and I have started making arrangements.

One of my theater professors knew he was going to die from cancer so he wrote the service himself. Lots of laughter just as he lived we mourned. It was a wonderful way to allow people to remember good times.

I'm pro birth control, pro tougher laws on rape and incest. I want to see prosecution to the women who allow children to be hurt. I’m pro let’s stop it before it’s needed. How about we stop being so selfish when we find out a child is different and think of how many blessings that child is, and we do a better job at helping those parents of special needs so that they don't think of abortion.

It could be a solution to Aids and hepatitis. If they are getting clean needles and a safe place to be. I wonder if they are trying to help them to get clean. I also wonder how many might have children with them when they are doing this. It stands a chance of help those in need. We can only pray that it saves some without hope.

The singles group at my church had a long history of being horrible. That leaves them out of the loop on a few things. I don’t know that we even have one now. The ladies group that I led was for women who’s husbands don’t attend church with them, we never turned anyone out so we had singles and women who’s husbands were n the class down the hall.

They use to dump a ton of work and hours on my sister where she works because she’s single. I do think that some emulate that cartoon.

It isn’t fair because she has a life.

Nothing about me in my maiden name lots of stuff on a women who shares my name. My blog name brought up my bog. MY maiden name brings up a place that is named after my family.

I use my hand at work all the time. I love how it freaks folks out to see me writing stuff down like that, they start looking for paper. I go home with all kinds of things written on me. So yepper I use the real deal palm.

We have it. Some of the addresses are protected. I can access two of them but we only use them for worship and for church use. I can’t see us using as a way to lure folks in. I suppose in a coffee bar situation.

Great advise.

I’ve never sent the wrong email to the wrong person but I have sent the wrong text to the wrong person. I was so embarrassed for a long time. Tip: don’t rush to send a text message while rushing to the bathroom early in the morning. You might send it to the wrong person and have to answer the phone while in the bathroom. Then you have to explain how you are too stupid to text message and thank them for calling you right back because all it said was "Call Me". Not to mention how you have to feel stupid for a good long time because you worried a friend. Guess who makes sure she looks several times before sending a text.

The hard fact is that abortion isn’t going away anytime soon. There are women armed and ready to perform safe abortions if they become illegal. How on earth can we stop them? We can step up, when we find the time. We can educate, when parents will allow it. We can change religious belief that birth control is ok, when they stop to listen.

Honestly how much can the average person do?

I have also offered to raise children that weren’t mine when the mom wasn’t sure how she was going to handle two kids and an abusive man.

We can only pray for these women and the babies. We can take care of those God puts in our paths.

I have two adopted nieces one is named after me. :-}

Me yelling from my stand o’power; "Because that's when I'm off."

Me calling at 12:05 "Who's coming over here?"

Him on the phone "Huh?"

Him looking confused at the war board. He bellows “When did ‘B’ go to lunch?”

Me in my nice way give him a look like “you’re joking right! Can you not see all these people here? Do you not see me working?” Instead I yell back “I don’t know.”

He looks cornfused and grunts something then asked someone else who gives the same response.

He then waves his arms about and goes to find her, failing to tell her to relieve me.Doh!

I clocked out at 12:20.

Matt want to say respectfully that you’re wrong on being born gay and it being a choice. I have gay friends and I speak very openly about the issues. I want you to know that we are very honest with each other about how it is to be gay. I spent several hours talking to a friend the other night and into the early morning about her being gay. She didn’t come out easily and spent most of her life in fear, woman who were out were being hurt by stupid men. She’s a preacher’s kid so she was afraid of hurting her parents and afraid of God. How would you feel in her shoes? To be attracted to a person who was going to send you to hell everyday of your life is misery. She was married to a woman who just wasn’t and still isn’t ready to grow up, she still morns her loss of the marriage, her hurt is real pain. She feels that had she been able to be married under the law that the break up might not have happened. I’m going through a divorce now and I can tell you that it’s hard and the pain is deep. When we stand in judgment without getting all the side we are only one sided.

You have every right to feel that way but this is what she said to me. Choice! Do you honestly think that I would chose this? Chose not to have children, chose to live in fear, chose to hurt my family. Do you think that I would want any of this? She’s an intelligent and hard working woman. She works two jobs and they are both mentally and physically challenging I want you to know this because this isn’t a woman who is just playing at life. She married for life and her wife walked away she thinks that if they had the legal process to deal with it might have been harder to just go. I’m not sure of that but she still loves the woman. I don’t think it’s a choice and in spending time talking to her I’m convinced that it isn’t for her.

You’d never be able to work where I work because there are several gay people working with me. They are nice just like other people and I’m betting that they don’t think it’s a choice at all.

I will say that one woman that I worked with went out with both that’s a choice she made but not all cases are like that.

My friend cares not what the law calls it BTW she just want the law with her.

Bottom line is that it’s not for me to judge I can only give them the hope that Jesus loves them after some Christian have told them He doesn’t.

I do think that some are born that way and even Dobson says so although he won’t admit it. He said that some children show early signs. If you are gay at an early age then you most likely are born that way. I’ve also spoken to some folks who have that story of being molested and are now gay. Is that then a choice for these cases? I have no doubt that some folks just experiment because that’s a hip thing. I don’t believe that my friend chose this in fact she said that she tried to hide her feeling and that she tried to deny her feelings all through highschool and college. Her Christian upbringing and Christian college (A will known one in these parts and on TV) made her one unhappy lady because she was so afraid. Not just afraid of hurting her family but also of being killed. Try to imagine what it is like to be in fear of loving someone and being killed for holding hands in public. I do think they should have the same rights we do. God will sort it out as He chooses. Do I think it’s a sin? Sure but I’d never ever say to a friend “Love the sinner hate the sin” That’s like say here let me hug you while stabbing you.

I live in an area that has several of those kinds of ministries, it’s hard to watch as they bilk some out of money leaving those that do good things looking just a guilty. Those that send are blessed because they sent in good faith those that are spending the money on large homes a diamonds will have God to deal with.

When I give I want to know that it’s going to the place that needs it not for a large AC bill in a big house.

You bet we question authority because it looked us in the eyes and lied. When we protested it told us we were being unpatriotic, it still does. If I say the war we are in has been handled wrong I am considered unpatriotic by some. The questions arise about the draft. Do you also draft women? Are our daughters going to have to fight like it or not? I question how we can be America Land of The Free and then force guns into the hands of the young people.

I can honestly say if they had put a pack on my back, a gun in my hand, and waved a flag in my face I’d spend a lot of time in the brig. My dad was in the military and so was my uncle, my brother wanted to join but they turned him down due to something that happened to his right hand. We support the troops but not this war. Come on now we all know that the government has been good at the lying for some time now. It comes as no surprise that it is an art form. They tested atomic bombs by blowing them up in our troops faces. Keep your mouth shut and don’t breath you’ll be fine. Cancer as a result. Not to mention what it did to the land in which it was dropped on. Nam one huge one. They kept the troops as drugged up and drunk as possible. I’ve been told first hand on that one by more than one vet. They tested drugs on our troops. As the years have gone by the government that we are to trust has broken that bond. I feel that we can no longer trust any of them Dems too. We have yet to find those weapons of mass destruction.

I love America and feel very blessed to be here but I have very little respect for our government with investigations over affairs rather then spending my money where needed and “W” it’s shot.

For the record I was against going in like we did. I felt that something important was missing, I was right a plan to get out.

If I were given a chance to hang out with an ex president I’d be sitting in Mount Vernon talking to President Washington.

I was a victim myself they had a grand time in Chicago. I receive a call asking me if I was having fun in the windy city. I responded with a big NO then I was asked if my hubby was. That was a big NO. They then wanted to know if we had or cards on us. That was a big YES. They must have hacked in from a restaurant we had recently gone to. I don’t know nor did they. They asked if I had been to Chuckie Cheese. I said I’m not that kind of parent. Thank goodness the cc companies do a great job at fixing things. The bank not so much. They took someone’s car payment out of our account and caused a few checks to bounce. It took way too darn long to fix and they refused a letter so that we could let those who had gotten those rubber checks to know it wasn’t us. For our troubles they did send a five dollar bill.

Funny my husband is a bit younger and he pokes a bit of fun at me over it. As for not experiencing Nam well didn’t Bush? I remember seeing things on the news I hate that we are repeating mistakes. I take a hard stance on domestic violence. The thing that I heard from my friend who was in a relationship was that he was constantly going to stop. These people who hurt know too well how to lie to themselves and the ones who love them. My friend felt very trapped and at time crazy, another lie from him. She felt that her religious belief meant that she owed him one my chance over and over again. I never thought her stupid I just felt that she needed to get help to break free of the mind games this man had played on her and her children.

I’ve felt for a long time that the grand unity is going to be one on one. We have too many ideas of what church is to be. It’s only when we talk face to face that those robes of tradition are gone. When we take a look at our little blogging family we see so many different thoughts on what God means but we somehow come together as on voice for God. That’s His plan for us in unity.

Have you tried going back in time? It might work. I once had a problem with one of my computers, the tech guy had me do a simple thing sorry I can't remember what it was. I just remember thinking in no way will this work. It did you might try calling the tech dudes.

I’m no gambler. I hated the idea of lotto tickets in Oklahoma but we vegas the ranks and many spend their hard earned cash chasing the money. I think I’ve spent about five dollars and did it the first week we got them. I did have to do an intervention with a friend who kept purchasing them for the kids the scratching them off herself then buying them and . . . you see the pattern.

We have cassinos here now the Native Americans own them. The white man took their land and made them walk so now we take their money and make them starve. Revenge is better when served cold. The funny thing about those silly things is that someone always has a story or knows someone who has a story. I just dropped in the money and won. Please! More money is put in then comes out.

My cousin was hooked and she lost her business and her marriage. I know people who can’t pay bills but go leaving small children at home alone. It’s sad very sad. No you won’t find me in one of those places. I’ve been to Vegas and Atlantic City, I don’t care to ever go back. Too many sad people.

You did the right thing it letting him win the money back it was far more important to him then for you.

Ok I’ll admit that I’m not a fan. But the poll is stupid.
I don’t think that the press is treating her any differently than any of the other high profile politician. In that business you need to be able to be slammed and teased.

As far as parenting goes who really knows. We aren’t with them behind closed doors. If we are only judging her by her daughter’s actions then a lot of folks are guilty of bad parenting those who are being called grandparents and those who’s kids used condoms properly. Careful, never know what your children might do.

Without a doubt waiting is the best thing to do.

Women entering the work place have changed the idea that women need a man to take care of her.

Women can now walk away from abusive men and they have more strength to do so.

Having sex seems to be an ok thing these days. I know friends have asked me if I am now that I'm single. When I tell them NO they look a bit shocked.

I loved the old movies when I was a kid. We paid about 15 cents to see them at the rec center. Now a days I can't do them, I feel a pull to stay away from those kinds. I don't like that it targets my kids, I guess the evil one is working on those kids.

we stopped selling Halloween stuff a couple of years ago. Folks spend a large amount of money on Christmas and we make a bit of money selling it to them. The more time we have the more money they spend.

yh but sony took so long making home, it still dont have a relese date. in xbox they said nxe was coming out on 19 november i think, and it did come out. i saved all my money 4 a ps3 and got it soon as it came out but its been 2 years and its still not good as the xbox 360. every one knows in most games graphics are better on 360 although ps3 has a better graphic card then xbox.
