Siva, I doubt the experience of reading and flipping through a book will ever be replaced by an eBook reader. We might have to live with that compromise if ebooks ever get mainstream. If anything, I'd say that the tougher economy would force publishers' hand into making the transition.

in Adding ezproxy to the url - 5 different methods on Musings about librarianship
I like the boomarklet method when preparing for lectures as I often first read the open-access abstracts before deciding to go in further. This reduces access counts for NUS since I might need the full PDF only half the time.

Hey thanks for this! We love to hear abut Pasir Panjang and share some of the stories on the Pasir Panjang Heritage Trail which we started doing based mainly on biology and the war. We've been adding layers of social history from the different decades as we go along and I wish everyone would blog more!

Hey Kevin,
like Ivan I do what I can and don't expect a return but when managing others, ensure they get enough acknowledgement and are not taken for granted.
As for fixing PCs, I decided a few years ago I wasn't going to fix 'em anymore. I simply could not bear working with them and drew a line against torturing mysef. It's freed up time to enhance mac-use.
Cheerio!
