This is a terrible terrible idea.

It goes against everything that blogging and rss has done for the free flow of information and knowledge.

Not everything is about monetization. Not everything needs a to be a transaction. We finally have the technology for a free global commune of ideas and discussion at our fingertips and instead of reveling in the freedom we want to find ways to maximize the dollars and cents.

While we protest any attempt the mainstream media makes to attach a price tag to the flow of information (think net neutrality, bandwidth caps etc.) we ignore the ways our own greed will limit the number and diversity of sources of information people tune into.

I keep wondering how any of the online movie services are going to work under the bandwidth caps that many isp's are now implementing. Here in canada, many hi speed plans cap out at 50GB or less per month.

There's a real conflict of interest when your isp is also your cable tv supplier and wants you to rent movies directly from them rather than from a competing service online.

The bandwidth caps become real barriers when spread out over all of your internet use including movies, music, and downloading game demos etc for your console.

Firstly, the CL victory - who decided on the tactical switch to push Garcia and Gerrard forward?

Second, the result tonight was a fluke. Satisfaction does not come into it - wait for the post match interviews.

Third, Liverpool are short in terms of quality compared to the other big 3. More investment is needed, a net spend of 26M in the summer is not enough - and realistically we were never going to win the league this season.

Fourth, boring football? Do you remember Valencia? At anfield that year? We need consistency in our game, but the invention is there for all to see - the 'compact' thing you refer to is a defensive tactic, did you not know that?

Fifth, you fail to mention Villa almost beat Chelski at the bridge and beat them at home. It isn't a good result, but that is football sometimes, you do everything right and the opposition get lucky - very lucky today.

And before you bring up the other draws - Pompey, B'ham, Wigan all played deep and we couldn't break into them - not for want of effort just lacking that finishing touch.

And for the personal attack on Rafa - its a media illusion. Many players come out and back him, Riise and Torres in the last few days. Gerrard has said publicly he stays out of that side of things, but you can add Sami, Carra, Kuyt and Alonso to the players who pay tribute to Rafa.

I know you have an agenda but lets have some balance.

I'm not trying to defend Gibson or Sheriff Anderson across the board, only in this given situation, which I feel the charges against Mr. Gibson are made up and are being used for political gain by political activists. On the CONSPIRACY THEORY alls I'm saying is that the information that you are speaking of "Sheriff department dispatcher who got fired for telling a city county councilmen that this isn?t a police issue ?" and "Or do you want to know the sergeants name who got moved because he didn?t agree with the Sheriff?s policy on active police work? Meaning, you are to take your dispatched runs do not do investigations because we don?t have the man power. Or would you like to know about how Frank Anderson did away with the narcotic unit and put all those officers into the robbery section because ?robbery is more of a priority? when one officer spoke up, he found himself back on the street instead of a detective."

(And given that you say you are a cop so you have a whole lot more -inside insight- but at the same time you also probably have your own alliances and biases as well) That being said when your perception is conveyed in a political argument is nothing less than a 'Conspiracy Theory'!!!! I grew up in an all white community, actually where I grew up and have lived most of my life, where there was a bigger problem with drug use than anywhere in the entire state, I can bet money that white people weren't gettin pulled over for lookin suspicous when they drove anywhere, that includes when they went into black neighborhoods, I'll bet a ton of money on that!!!!

BUT WHEN YOU'RE COMING HOME FROM A LONG DAY OF WORK, JUST BECAUSE YOU HAPPEN TO LIVE IN A NEIGHBORHOOD THAT'S CONSIDERED BAD, YOU DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT 'THE GREATER GOOD' AND GETTING PULLED OVER BECAUSE YOU'RE BLACK AND LOOKING SUSPICIOUS MAY SEEM LIKE A DECENT POLICE TACTIC BUT SO DOES GETTING HOME TO YOUR LOVED ONES!!!! And, another thing that me and my friend discuss is the psychology that pulling over innocent people creates, it creates a certain amount of guilt, and self-critcizing!!!! You're trying to be honest but you still get pulled over, you ask youself 'What's WRONG WITH ME!' it's so demoralizing, you have no idea!!!! I KNOW THAT POLICE ARE TRYING TO DO THEIR JOB, I KNOW THAT LAW ENFORCMENTS GIVEN A HARD TASK!!!! But it sucks when as an African-American you get treated as equal to the less of your culture. LOOK AT THE PEOPLE THAT REALLY SPEAK UP ABOUT RACIAL PROFILING most of them are just honest people that have been pulled over, then you catch 1 dude with weed in his car, but you never say HEY SORRY TO THE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE THAT WE PULLED OVER AND TREATED LIKE A CRIMINAL!!!! (And the face down stuff, I've never seen in Nap, but where I grew up at and where I recently moved from {and I moved because I got pulled over about 3 times per month} I ate a lot of concrete)!!!!

I'd also like to put this forward to you as well, as an officer discuss this with whomever cause it's real talk and maybe it can help you all refine your tactics in some kind of way! Because you seem like an honest man, and probably a good cop as well. A lot of people ask 'Why are some Black people so angry at cops?' Then look at it, you all have probably ruined the day of so many people in the name of 'finding that 1 or 2 criminals' that those law abiding frindge people have a hidden FEAR or ANIMOSITY towards law enforcement. When I hear about people getting arrested I'm always sceptical because as many times as I've been pulled over it's my opinion that SOME law enforcement members have no clue what a criminal or non-criminal looks like!!!! I'm not trying to spit flames at the police department but if you all pull people like me over for fitting 'the desciption' than you're barking up the wrong tree. (Please just digest those sentiments and contemplate things from my point of view)
