we had a mouse when we first moved in and he left little droppings in the silverware drawer! EW! i didn't want to call the exterminator and i hate chemicals and poison. C did something and i didn't ask what but mickey is gone now.

I really don't envy you there, Alex, and I can fully sympathize. I've had some hellish neighbours in the past, for example, clouds of dope smoke wafting across our garden as our babies play outside.

We are VERY lucky with our apartment in Rome, however. We all have marble floors but we rarely hear a thing from our upstairs neighbours. I guess it has something to do with the fact that we are the only people in the building under 60 years old.

Usually the best way to deal with them is to act mad... I usually say... "My mommy thinks Im special..." long pause... then repeat.... then they hang up. Success!!!!

Ive seen a program about Reborn babies and ppl really take them seriously and take them out for walks etc... They cost a lot too which makes me wonder what kind of mental state these people are in. Like you I find the whole doll collecting thing a little bit on the strange side. Clowns are evil too. :(

Personally I like Carbon Clear's lifestyle agnostic ethos. I've offset my tiny baby's disposable diapers and plan to start potty training her soon (fingers crossed!) as the only real environmentally sound poo-management option. I have friends who use Eco nappies and cloth nappies, both of which also have associated emissions. I also plan to offset their emissions as a baby gift through Carbon Clear.

Don't worry. just don't dignify their questions with an answer and they'll shut up =) In my case naman, since I gave birth almost 11 years ago, people are asking, "when will you have a baby again?" I am so tempted to say, "why? will you carry the baby in your tummy for 9 months for me etc, etc, etc..." I just feel like telling them to "sod off..." Oppsss =)

We could have met yesterday before I left. It would have been fun just bonding and have a cup of coffee. I was too bummed that I had to miss meeting you there in Singapore because the in-laws had so many in their itinerary that I had to skip my own plans. This is a note to self: NEVER TRAVEL WITH THE IN-LAWS EVER! hahahahaaa.... wish we could have met though bec I brought something. Now I guess I'll send it thru FedEx!!!

Try to enjoy the quiet times. I love solitude. It's the only moment I can get a peace of mind and I think clearly most days when it's quiet and no one to bug me.

If you're into hormonal pills, then that can contribute to your mood swings to. I had it at one point when I had problems with my period so had to take the hormonal pills. My hubby said I was like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde! LOL...

My dad was not the showy one but my mom lavishes us with hugs and kisses even upto now. So as a mom now, I do the same thing to my princess. We still do bear hugs and she still hold our hands and we say I love you very, very often. I know it might lose the meaning but when said sincerely, it will still hold it's real value. I don't know much about other families though. I grew up acknowledging one's emotions so that makes me mushy..hahahaha.
