If the Mainstream media had any balls they would just not show up at any of this administration's press conferences (Defense Dept., Dept of State, etc.) Watching these things on C-Span I get the feeling that I have wasted precious time that could have been better used for cutting my toenails or flossing my teeth.

The only solution to the health care crisis is the creation of a single-payer, universal health care system in this country. It is the only way to tackle such a huge issue. If Congress tries to do it piecemeal, it will never get done. The California Nurse's Association are exactly right, and I am a fan of Obama, but I think he should rethink his position. Taiwan recently went to a universal health care system and saved money in the process. As an incentive to get Republicans on board, we should also overhaul Medicare and Medicaid and fold these programs into an American Universal Healthcare System to try to achieve savings there as well.

The Bush Administration is morally bankrupt. They and their Republican Party cronies have kicked our country into the gutter and it is going to take a hell of a lot of work to regain our standing in the world. Rebuild Iraq. What a joke. We need to start rebuilding America.

Another result of thirty years of following the Republican's "hands-off" policy when it comes to protecting consumers from US corporations. Even Reagan would know that a "fixed rate" should mean the rate doesn't change. After eight years, Bush's Fed is "looking into" standardizing a definition of "fixed rate". Anyone who votes Republican these days ought to have their head examined.

Terry Madonna should be running Obama's campaign!!! Obama needs to be more specific about retraining the American worker, reinvesting in American jobs, pulling back troops from overseas (saving a ton of defense dollars in the process), and providing universal health care to all Americans. He also needs to show that he is going to work hard to get sixty Dems in the Senate and a bigger majority of Dems in the House. If he does all that, he doesn't even need to talk about McCain.

Obama would do well to take this article's advice. He cannot allow the Republican Party (and Hillary) to portray him as an elitist, which he most certainly is not. He is our best hope for change in Washington and we need him to win.
