Pretty cool. Music strongly reminds me of another band but cant quite place my finger on it.
Btw, meaning to ask. Do you collect vinyls james? I have purchased several over the last few years but my turntable is aweful. Any recommendations you might give me? Nothing manically expensive please :)

These are wicked. Remind me of heroin jazz and mazzy star. Streaming is fucked up tho, I'm guessing it's because they have a sample rate of 48.000Hz, wish I could tell you how to fix it... problem doesnt affect download.

The 2046 OST is amazing. I find the soundtracks for the other Wong Kar Wai's movies a little too much on the kitsch spectrum but this one hits the spot.

Yes! Oddly enough today I was thinking of doing a running mix for the weekend. Course I need an interlude somewhere in there, I was thinking of doing one were the first 15-20 mins are warmup, then something a bit more relaxed for the next 5-8 minutes and speeding it up for the last 25 minutes. I know for sure I dont have enough physical condition to run effortlessly through the 60mins of this mix :P

You must know I respect your music taste so much that yours are the few mixes I actually download and keep with me. I normally tend to erase mixes and podcasts frequently to save space but everything I get from kinosport stays there. This is yet another wicked delivery. Also curious as to what program you might be using to do the mixes, I use ableton live when mixing around in my house for my friends but nothing special.

I don't think cumbia is an obscure genre over here, it is in fact very popular, hard to go to a party without eventually listening to some cumbias.
Chicha though, now that's a genre that's as far as I know, almost extinct. Basically it's cumbia with an emphasis on electric guitars rather than on accordeons. I think it was more of a novelty genre, inspired upon discovery of electrical instruments in pop music.

I adore Black Devil Disco Club. A hip friend passed them on a mixtape back in 2002 telling me it was one of his favorite finds of 70's italo-disco. It blew my mind.
Get the debut album a listen, it's even better (I think its called simply "disco club"). My guess is that "28 after" is actually some sort of edit on those original songs, there are many sounds in the production that I'm sure weren't made back in 1978 and some songs seem to echo each other, take for example "h friend" from the 1978 debut and "I regret the flower power" from 28 after.
