The building underwent a £5.5 million project to retro-fit 7,244 PV panels creating 181,000kWh/annum in 2004/5. The building was built in 1962. I agree that it is a fine example of how PV can be installed post design and is one of the finest examples you will see. The first time is always the worst. Sounds like you were using too much glue. I got my tubs in March this year second hand with punctured tyres still glued on. I got them repaired and the wise old man that did it showed me how to install them. After mounting 5 tubs I could almost do it now without spilling a drop of glue. Of the people who own Premiership football clubs, only Abramovich is worth more money. Add that to Daniel Levy, our chairman, who is worth a pretty bob or two, and who is a Spurs fan, and Alan Sugar who's still got a significant shareholding in the club and we are already owned by people with fantastic wealth who have been successfully running the club, and who have provided it with a very stable financial backdrop.

This is a non-story with a headline which disguises its absolute lack of substance.

Re: New 08/09 Arsenal Home Shirt: Photograph

reminds me of the dreamcast kit 2001/2002 season

Re: Intertemporally Yours Been getting tons of emai…

The amount of mails that the post in question has generated is awesome.

Re: Hemingway’s "Indian Camp"

What are the refrences to light and dark in this passage symbolic of, if anything

Re: Hemingway’s "Indian Camp"

Well, I think that the references to light and dark are directly proportional to the amount of tension in the setting. The so-called ose (open source edition) supplied by Ubuntu is cut down and most notably has no usb support. The other edition is closed source and has more features including usb support. Both editions cost nothing to non-business users so unless you are an oss purist just forget the Ubuntu package and install the closed one from Sun's website. For updates install the latest full closed edition over the top of the previous closed edition.
Having said that, installing VirtualBox is not for newbies so be prepared to use the manual and forums.

Re: Saturday Morning

Hi Deek,
Loved the Saturday post, very descriptive I could actually imagine the whole scene. I left it a bit and called again when a woman answered, i said that her number kept calling me and i wanted it to stop and would call the police. With the technology we have developed, once an electrical vehicle starts rolling it can produce a major portion of the electric needs from wind power. It can greatly extend the range of the standard battery-based vehicles. We can produce electric cars that place less demand on the envirnonment and move it from concept to commercial reality."

The car is going to use more energy to power the generator you propose. It will cause more resistance.

Re: Electric Cars and Vehicles: Who Killed 'Em, New Batteries and More

June 22, 2008 comment:

"Since seeing Trevor Baylis' wind up radio, I always wondered if his concept could be adapted to an electric vehicle in such a way that while the vehicle was in motion, one of the wheels could be used to wind-up a generator big enough to charge a small second set of batteries ready to be used when the first set were discharged then first set recharged while second set ran the car. Thus increasing vehicle range almost double."

Keep in mind that it takes power to turn a generator. The electric motor powering the car's motion would need more electricity to power the generator. Basically it seems like you are proposing a perpetual motion machine. Remember that in every conversion of energy there is a loss of usable energy.

Re: Finer Things in Mac, When you open the downloads Stack in your Dock,...

This is something Safari does, and it also completely fakes it! :) If you look inside the Safari.app bundle, you'll find ten download icons, each with the progress bar progressively more and more full. As Safari is downloading a file, it's changing the icon for the download at 10%, 20%, etc complete, and thanks to the way the system notices file updates, the Finder and Stacks update immediately and it looks like a live progress bar.

Re: Free toys: Hasselhoff paper doll

very cool!

Re: 20 Things to do after installing Ubuntu Linux

It would have been great if you wrote down how to actually add/tweak the programs you mentioned.

Re: http://thehappyhospitalist.blogspot.com/2009/05/i-cant-afford-that-4-walmart.html

Saw the title of this post and suspected immediately that this person was a smoker.

Re: http://swiftywriting.blogspot.com/2005/09/west-side-story-homosexual-space-opera.html

Well, if I had to choose between violent gangs and dancing, singing gangs... But what's awful about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes's latest entry in the celebrity baby names contest is this: in a region of southern India, "Suri" actually means "pointy-nosed!"
