You've got to be careful with your landing "page"

Google tends to frown on single page sites used as landing pages.

Ideally they want relevant multipage websites used as landing pages, including privacy pages, contact pages etc.

The google slap that google hits people with can mean a cost per click of around $10!

Good Luck with your aff efforts :)

Will you be able to get the deductions on business stuff immediately or would it be a 'end of year tax' kind of thing?

Be careful with your cash flow ;)

in time for another ebook? on smemon.com
I bought a copy of your ebook and I do think you can write well. But I also think that you're selling yourself a bit short by selling the sites as quickly as you do.

For the next ebook why not give the book away free as part of a email course (maybe 3 small pdfs 1 week apart) everyone loves to get good quality stuff for free.

You'll get your customers on a list and your reputation will be improved because you're helping people.

This works best if there are certain products or tools you can recommend to help people with the ebook topic.

If you tell them how to improve their site by using keyword research you can recommend keyword elite or wordze
( wordze pays 30% recurring)

If you're teaching them about wordpress their are a few commercial plugins you could recommend.

If you're teaching them about selling online make sure that you have an affiliate link for clickbank and paypal

etc.

You get revenue from the affiliate sales.
People are more likely to recommend a free course to their friends and colleagues. If this is successful, write a bigger ebook with more detail, video tutorials and an audio version and charge for that. You'll already have their trust and people will snap it up.

Tempt them with good quality free content, make it easy to promote and you'll make a packet.

If you do a paid version of the book you could offer it for free to some customers if they refer a certain amount of people to your list.

Most important thing: get them on a list so that you can sweeten them up with regular content and then promote to them to make loads of money.

That was a bit longer than I intended but definitely worth a go :)

in maybe i’m wrong about vista on smemon.com
A friend of mine just bought a mac mini and I saw it in action, watching some short videos and browsing photos. It looks absolutely gorgeous, you can set it up to have a basic menu of images movies and music
which can be navigated by use of a remote control.

Any one can pick it up and use it and then fire up safari and surf the net.

The thing is, the machine isn't actually very powerful - certainly nowhere near vista spec.
It's a pity that VIsta seems to waste so much energy on just displaying programs and transitions/effects

something that should never be much of an overhead.

My first laptop was an acer and it's still going strong today ( my wife uses it )

Looks like a laptops direct purchase?

Does this mean you'll be answering emails and chatting to her all day instead of doing any work?

I'm always checking back here because you update so often.

I was once contacted with a job offer by someone who had read my blog. They were impressed by my outlook on business and thought I'd be a good fit for their company.

I'm not sure anyone will ever get the same impression from my blog as they did
but it goes to show how much of an impression you can make just by writing regularly.

With polyphasic sleep the idea is to train the body to get into a deep sleep after only a few minutes. Doing this 6 times a day can be enough to add up to what you need .

in Cure for being tired on smemon.com
Thomas, I think it's that you normally need a number of hours to get into really 'useful' sleep that makes you feel rested.

If you sleep late ( assuming you get up at the same time in the morning ) you don't have enough time to get into the necessary type of sleep.

With polyphasic sleep the idea is to train the body to get into a deep sleep after only a few minutes. Doing this 6 times a day can be enough to add up to enough.

Any clues as to the topic of this ebook?

I've got a copy of camtasia. If there's anything that you could show in a video / screencast I could record it for you. Seems to be all the rage with ebook bonuses these days.

There was an "expert" on one of the afternoon shows who said that students that study overnight for an exam the next day

are impaired to the same extent as a person who's drank 5 units of alcohol.

Get plenty of sleep and only have 4 drinks for breakfast ;)

in investing in domains on smemon.com
I registered a domain this week to bring my total to 34!

I actually renewed most of them for a 2 year period last year, but like Lord Bloggit said above, most are idle. There's no superstars, but the least they could be doing for me is paying their own way.

Time to get some advertising or relevant affiliate offers on them...

in would you prefer 30 mins or 40 years of work? on smemon.com
I know you posted this a while ago but I thought that you had hit the nail right on the head.

I'm also looking to make a living from the internet and my own ideas. If you found yourself having to go back to a regular job I don't think having a history of entrepreneurship will do anything except mark you out as exceptional.

Do you plan on developing apps and sites yourself or will you outsource much of it?

Good luck either way :)

I also use a lot of the same software, it takes me an age to find it all when I want to set up a new computer
