project dark is going to be lights out.....What amazes me is the people sticking up for tmobile(they must work for them) remember if you are a customer of then then you are on the peoples side. It blows my mind that tmobile is penalizing their customers with contracts....blows my mind. If i cant get unlimited everything for 70 bucks a month then here i come sprint they have a samsung with 800mhz processor coming out nov1 plus family plans at 120 for 1500 land line minutes, free cell to cell on every provider, sprint tv nav and all the goodies also you get up 15% discount a month if you have an aol email, corp, or have a bank account with a credit union. I live in nyc and tmobiles 3g goes in and out.....NYC for crying out loud. Mean while tmobile is sending out zeta jones saying how they are beneficial, how about this tmobile find someone off the street and pay him nothing and the money you save from paying zeta let it goto the customers. like i give a fu*k some bitch is fliping her hair at me telling me am i ready for a mobile make over, no bitch i am ready for a cheap plan. its like putting syrup on shit and trying to tell me its pancakes. I will give them the option of turning my account into a flex pay so i can have a better price? or i am outta here, i leave etf free anyway because they raised their overages

Yeah I think he will be kind of be the 7th starter in scranton behind Kennedy. It is a good move to bring him back for rotation depth.

I assume Chamberlain and Hughes will be the 4th and 5th starters and Ace and Gaudin will be in the bullpen. Putting Joba back in the bullpen will be tough to take after all they went through to manage his innings last year. I still think Joba can become into a very good starter. He had a 3.58 era though 110 ip last year.

That is a good point about errors. Maybe Andrus has a lot more errors because he can get to a lot more balls. I dont really know because I dont watch him everyday.

But yeah the gold glove awards have always been questionable. I mean David Wright has 2 of them. But Teix is a very good fielding 1st basemen. Maybe Overbay might be a better fielding 1st basemen than Teix. That is the only one that really comes to mind in the al.

LOL I might be overrating Teixeira a little because I am used to watching Giambi.

I like UZR it is a nice stat but is only one piece. I dont even think gold gloves even takes UZR into consideration. It is more about fielding percentage and errors.

UZR might not even be the best stat for a firstbasement. Teixeria is probably the best at scooping balls from the dirt and saved Jeter and A-Rod from a lot of errors. He also makes strong and accurate throws the one he made from his knees to home with the basesloaded against the twins in the regular season comes to mind. I think he deserved the win a gold glove.

Elvis Andrus I believed made 20 plus errors he is not going to win a gold glove with that many errors.

The Mansion House is the worst. As someone who parks at the Arch and walks to my office, Hwy 70 and the Mansion House complex are very effective barriers to pedestrian travel.

I love the idea of cutting through the complex and restoring the street grid. It's frustrating to have to walk 2 or 3 blocks out of my way to get to where I want to go because the Mansion House garage is in the way.

70 must go away. Esp. now that it gets dark earlier, walking underneath Hwy 70 to get to your car can be a bit spooky at times. I haven't had any problems, but it's dark enough for anyone to be hiding out along the walls and with the noise from traffic combined with the dark, pedestrians are pretty easy pickings there.

I feel bad for tourists because this is what they see when they want to go to the Arch.

Anyway, as someone who travels this area by foot daily, this is definitely a relevant and interesting topic.

Joba has been a better starter than Hughes. I dont understand why people want him in the bullpen and Hughes in the rotation. Joba has to be in the rotation next year. Why the hell would the yanks go through all that nonsense last year to manage his innings.

Mo is not going anywhere. You need to find out what you get from Hughes and Chamberlain the next two years as starters. If one of them fails at that they they can go into the bullpen as the future closer.

Joba should be a starter next year. He will be a normal pitcher for the first time in his big league career (180-190ip). He had a 3.58 era and then they started skipping and shortening his outings and he looked lost. The yankees have to have in the starting rotation they went through all that trouble to manage his innings last year. Stop screwing with his head and let him start and see what he does next year.

Same with Hughes I want them as the 4th and 5th starter. I would try to bring in another bullpen arm like a Huston Street or Heath Bell. So they could let Chamberlain and Hughes devolop and stop sending them to the bullpen.

Lackey is a good pitcher but I highly doubt the yankees will spend 100 million on him after they signed Sabathia and Burnett last year. Burnett is going to have to step up a little bit and become the teams number 2 starter.

Great win!! Offense really came alive which is what you need to happen in order to win. Yanks pitching and A-rod clutch hit won the alds and alcs. But now against the phillies (Hamels, Blanton) the offense really needs to step up and pound them like they did tonight.

Mo only threw 5 pitches without much stress. He got 2 outs so Girardi did give Mo a little less workload for tonight and still got the win which is good. I would think Mo could be available tommorow for 4 outs save tommorow.

Citizen bank park is really a bandbox. Everybody makes a big deal with the new yankee stadium. But that really just has a short porch in right. And maybe if you hit one right down the leftfield line. Right center, leftcenter and center you still have to hit a pretty good. But Citizen bank ballpark the entire stadium plays small they are no gaps. Huge difference between the two ballparks in my opinion.

These type of stories always come out when the yankees win. Game 1 the crowd was quiet because the game was awful for the yanks. Game 2 the crowd really got into it during the middle of the game when Teix hit the home runs and AJ was dealing.

Obvious the old stadium is going to be louder because it had about 5,000 more people in it and it was much much smaller. But the media all year long has been ripping the stadium. They are making it seem like a jail. It is a nice ballpark to watch a game.

Yankee hitters need to stop chasing. They are swinging at shoulder level fastballs and swinging at pitches in the dirt. Never saw them do that this year.

Remember Pedro cant throw his changeup for a strike. Pedro is going to try to make the yankees chase out of the zone. They need to be pateint and force Pedro to throw strikes.

Guzman proved to be just a waste of a roster spot. I thought the idea of having Guzman on the roster was to give Gardner a start for a struggling Nick Swisher. But that did not happen.

I like adding Bruney because you might need an extra pitcher if you get into some crazy extra inning game or if you take Gaudin out of the pen and he starts game 5. I would think they will replace Bruney with Cervelli. Lets be honest there isn't much need for a 3rd catcher. I think Molina will still catch Burnett. He gave up 4 runs in the first but lets not forget Burnett battled and shut down the angels the rest of the game and gave the yanks a chance to win. I think that credit goes to Molina having him settle down in the 2nd and 3rd innings. If Hughes gets Vlad out Burnett probably gets a win.

Also this will cut down on Girardi substitutions. He fell too much in love with pinch runners in the last series.
Unlike a lot of people I do like his bullpen management. I thought the only mistake he made was taking out Robertson for Aceves. Other than that his bullpen moves have been pretty well thought out and have worked.

Dump Guzman put Hinske back on the roster. I like the yankees in philly. They got Hinske to pinch hit for the pitcher in the middle innings and Matsui has your late inning pinch hit threat.

Also if the yanks use 4 starters they might want to put Bruney on the roster for Cervelli. Dont they need an extra arm in the bullpen if they are using 4 starters.

Yankees must win game 6. Because now with Pettitte pitching on sunday he wont be available till game 3 of the worldseries. If CC starts game 7 your game 2 starter for the world series will be Chad Gaudin.

Mo got an extra day of rest now I would use him for the 8th and 9th and finish the angels. Then Mo will have 2 days off and be rested and ready for the world series.

Kay just said Pettitte ERA is much lower with an extra days off. So I expect him to be pitch deep into the game tommorow.

Girardi managed a bad game 3 no doubt about it. But leaving in Burnett was fine that was not a bad move. Chamberlain and Hughes have not been good in the postseason which makes the decision to keep Burnett in the game even more correct.
Bottom line if Hughes get Vlad out the game is over, that is what your bullpen needs to do. Hughes has been great at leaving inherited runners on base all season long.

Nice approach by the angels they took the first pitches from AJ in game 2 and paid for it. This time they pounced on him in the first inning a lot on first pitches and early in the count. A lot of the pitches were on the outer, lower edge of the strike zone. They had a plan and excecuted, and it worked for the first inning. After that it looked like Burnett and Molina figured out there gameplan and shut them down the rest of the game.

I think Jeter is dead on with what he said. Bottom line I dont see the angels winning 2 games in a row at the stadium.

I agree winning game 6 is important because you want CC to start the world series. Cliff Lee doesn't scare me yankee hitters have great numbers off him.

I just want them to win so these writers can stop writing nonsense. Matthews wrote the yankees are on the verge of there worst collapse in franchise history. And in the daily news I read that Girardi needs to be fired if they lose the alcs. Writers should be banned from writing "Collapse", "Choke", and "Clutch" those are 3 words that they use way too often. No wonder Torre is happy in LA he doesn't have to deal with this nonsense anymore.

Before the series all I read in the newspapers were how the angels own the yankees. Girardi no doubt had a bad game 3. But bottom line last night if Hughes doesn't throw Vlad a pitch right down the middle the yankees will win that game and the series is over.

MLB network was ripping Girardi for using Hughes and not Joba in the 7th. Are they serious? Hughes has been in that situation and getting out of it all year long.

I mean look at the move Scioscia made last night I cant believe he took out Lackey for Oliver. That would be like Girardi taking out Sabathia for Marte. Amazing if you go by what you read you would think GIrardi is the one down 3-2.

A lot of times you face the middle and heart of the order in the 8th. And in the 9th you face the bottom of the lineup. You would want your closer to pitch the 8th. There were times in the regular season this year when Hughes faced tougher hitters than Mariano.

So ideally you would like to see Mo in the 8th. But that will never happen because of these relievers need to know there roles and what innings they are pitching nonsense.

But the yankees really need either Chamberlain or Hughes to get it going. Even if one is struggling that is fine. But you cannot afford both of them to struggle. There numbers would be even worst if Mo didn't bail Hughes out twice in the postseason and Mo bailed Joba out last night from a big inning.

I completely agree with Tommy. Minnesota is nothing but a bunch of Nordic descendants (hence the Vikings NFL team) and Native Americans. Located on the edge of the flat and seemingly endless prairie, the state gets blast-chilled by polar winds for most of the year. If I lived in Minnesota, I'd probably be an homeless alcoholic simply it would beat the hell out of being an ice-fisherman. But ehhh, at least you can brag about your Governor being able to beat up Mitch Daniels. Whoopie!

You can turn fringe starters like Chad Gaudin and Alfredo Aceves into very good bullpen arms not young pitchers with arms like Chamberlain and Hughes who can become potential frontline starters.

Is Heyman just shilling for agents? I find it very hard to believe that the yankees will give Holliday 100 million or Lackey 80 million when they just spent over 400 million on Sabathia, Burnett & Teixeira.

I am glad you wrote this article. I am have tried to lose weight so many times and have been unsuccessful. Everytime I lose a little my family talks about how skinny I'm getting. I also don't have support at home. My family is not eating healthy so I always have fatty foods or snacks in my reach.

Black folks also don't work out so I can't find a gym partner or someone to workout with.
I really would like to lose some stomach weight and firm up my thighs and butt. I hate trying on clothes because I can't fit the clothes I want and somtimes I almost cry in the dressing room when thingd don't fit or I have to go up a size.

Any advice you can give would be great.

I know other people have to feel like I do on some level but just don't want to comment.

I just read the complete return policy in MyCSP and no where does it say ANYTHING about a $20.00 charge for returning a device within the first 30 days.

The only charge it refers to is if you're returning a device without everything it came with at the point of purchase:

Note: If equipment is not in like-new condition, a credit will not be given. Charge a $25 fee for voice-centric devices and a $50 fee for data-centric devices for any device returned or exchanged without all accessory components.

And that policy has always been in place.

That wouldn't really work... to beat Whiplash, Tony has to get in close. If he flies away and tries to attack him that way, well 3 things could happen.
1. Whiplash could just destroy anything Tony sends at him.
2. Whiplash would just be able to move away easier.
3. Remember Iron Man primarily uses repulsor technology. They AREN'T lasers. It's a physical ball of energy. Meaning they don't melt things or vaporize things. It's like a punch that explodes on contact. Since I'm guessing Whiplash is using the exact same technology, they're gonna be preven even.

I think this is what aXXo uses but i found a better way to make 700 MB copies of DVDs. I you use FairUse and set it to PS3 and set the size to 700 MB then youll get better quality results than that of aXXo. It's because H264/AVC is better than XVID which aXXo encodes to.

I disagree with "going back in time" and redoing or adding to the original series. We're in the 24th century now...actually almost in the 25th if you do the calculations. What made the NG so popular was that it advanced the saga. So if you want the "passion" of the past put it in the future. More conflict... Swish got a 3-2 fastball right down the middle from Fuentas w/ the bases loaded and the tie run on the 3rd. There was no way Fuentas was not throwing a fastball and he still just hit a weak popup. And his first two swings for strikes were weak defensive swings.

He looks lost right now I would start Gardner against Saunder. I dont care Saunders is a lefty maybe Gardy can lay a bunt down and make some things happen with his speed.

Hughes looked scared out there. He looked so confident during the season. He shook off Posada about 3 times to throw that fastball to Vlad. No way Posada wanted that pitch. I think Girardi brought Marte in to give Abreu a different look. Abreu already faced Coke twice this series.

And yes I am with you with giving Gardner a start. Gardner has just as many hits as Swisher does in the alcs (2) and in only 4 at bats.

I thought Burnett was awful in the first. But I do give him credit he battled through the game and gave the yankees a chance to come back and win. I dont have a problem sending him back out in the 7th. Especially with now the bullpen is not as locked down as we thought. Hughes been getting out of that jam all year long. And he had 2 strikes on Vlad who will basically swing at everything.

Really tough loss but the yankees are still in the drivers seat and I feel good with Pettitte on the mound at the stadium.

The one thing I like about Girardi is that he is willing to bring in Mo on the road into a non save situation just to try to perserve the score and give the yankees a chance. That was something Torre didn't do which drove me crazy.

Girardi is a big believer in rhythmn and not breaking up a pitcher and catcher when they get on a good rhythmn. It worked the first two postseason games for Burnett but now that he struggled there is no doubt Girardi will have Posada catch him in the world series .

What is up with Girardi and Swisher. He is now hitting 118 he is an automatic out and is not even making productive outs with runners in the scoring position. Didn't Gardner get benched in april for hitting 217 and that was in april!!! Fuentas throw him a meatball right down the middle and he couldn't even hit it hard.

I dont understand how Hairston or Gardner are not in the lineup for Swish in game 6. Gardner is batting 291 in 55 at bats against leftys in the reg. season. I guess Girardi forgot he not just a pinch runner.

Both Chamberlain and Hughes are not having good postseasons. That is really disappointing most yankees fans were going in thinking this could be one of there best bullpens they ever had in the postseason.

Joba keeps hanging sliders and Hughes looks to scared to challenge hitters. Robertson really has been a great. No situation seems to bother him anymore. Girardi needs to start using him more often and not just in extra innings.

Hughes is the big concern for me he has the bigger role than Joba he is the 8th inning bridge to Mariano. He has looked bad throughout the entire postseason. Joba looked good against Minnesota and he has been splitting the 7th a lot with Coke so his role in the bullpen is really only 1 or 2 batters.

Girardi is going to have some tough decisions.
Dont know why they want only 10 pitchers. I would of preferred them carrying 11 pitchers. Do you really need an extra pinchrunner in Guzman? You are not going to take out Matsui or Posada in the middle of the game. Pinch running usually gets done between 7th-9th inning. Hairston can also pinch run. He might not be a stolen base threat. But he can score from 1st if a ball is hit in the gap.

Just another role for Joba. He was a normal starter in the beginning of the year, than they started to pitch him on 8 days rest. Then he pitched 3-4 inning starts now he is pitching 1 inning in the bullpen.

I have never seen a young pitcher get treated like this in one season. If they want to use in the bullpen for the postseason that is fine. Either way Joba will get screwed. If he struggles he might not make the postseason alds roster. If he pitches well people are going to go back to the he belongs in the bullpen rant. Joba was pitching well until they started moving and shortening his outings. Andy Pettitte complained about the same thing. He said he pitched bad in the beginning of the angels game because he skipped a start. If a great veteran pitcher like Pettitte can be that affected by that I could only imagine what it would do to a young inexperienced pitcher like Joba.

Anyway next year they better leave him alone and let him devolop as a normal starting pitcher. I still believe Joba will be a very good starter once he figures it all out.

I look at Verlander last year he struggled with mechanics and was pitching in the low 90's. Now his fastball is in the mid to high 90's. You are seeing the same thing with Joba this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see Joba velocity raise next year as a starter.

Look at David Robertson too all of a sudden his velocity jumps. Young pitchers velocity is funny sometimes.

I agree maybe going back to bullpen he will regain his confidence. He seems to have lost all confidence in his fastball. Joba main problem has been his fastball command. He doesn't even need to throw 98. He just needs to throw 93-96 mph consistenly and he will be fine. I hope this offseason dave eiland and joba really iron down his mechanics.

I never understood people like Flaherty on yes that say Hughes is a starting pitcher and Joba is a reliever. Joba has better secondary pitches than Hughes.

The yankees already have Gardner. Guzman is just an added luxury. I doubt any game they will really need 2 pinch runners. I much rather have an extra arm than an extra pinch runner.

Joba is one of the most talented pitchers on the team having him sit in october would be a silly panic move. Joba coming out of the bullpen has been lights out and there is no reason to question him being able to do that job.

Joba is a much better pitcher than Gaudin. Joba will be more capable of shutting out a team as the 4th starter than Gaudin. People have lowered expectations for Gaudin then Joba. If Gaudin pitches 5 ip and gives up 3 runs every will say it was a great outing if Joba does the same everybody is ripping him. Gaudin had a plus 5 era in the nl west before the trade.

I would have Joba in the alds in the bullpen and then have him start in the alcs.

I think the idea of having an extra pinch runner on the team instead of a bullpen arm is ridiculous. They better not hope they get into a crazy extra inning game or if one of the three starters struggles. The yanks made a huge mistake in the beginning of the season not carrying a longman and that hurt them until they brought up Aceves. I always thought the more quality arms in the postseason you have the better.

Clay Buccholz had another bad outing he raised his era a full run in his last two starts. And today he was named the red sox third starter. I want to see Joba be named the 4th starter. Nothing in the regular season matters anymore Joba struggling against the royals is not a big deal to me. Now you take your most talented arms and you use them and hope they can deliver.

Same goes for Burnett he got paid 80 million dollars. He better be named the number 2 starter. You got to find out how he does in the postseason and not get scared off because he has no experience.

Burnett ERA this year is lower than his ERA last year. The only thing dissapointing in Burnett season was his win loss record. He right now is a better pitcher than Pettitte.

And Burnett didn't have his best stuff today and still gave a good quality outing he said he had no strikeout pitch today. That theory that Burnett needs his best stuff to win is not true. Maybe Molina is better than Posada at getting Burnett through a game when he doesn't have his best stuff. Which is why he will probably catch him in the postseason.

On another topic I thought what the Rays did to Teixeira was extremely busch league. So glad A-Rod gave them what they deserve. No doubt in my mind Price hit Teix intentionally. It looked to me he was trying to hit Teix in the same area where Pena got hit, which is a scary thought.

Joba to me is a lock for the alds. You know what he can do out of the pen. You never want to keep one of your most talented pitchers out of the roster in my opinion.

Kay was going on about how Joba velocity increase from his last start against the royals. When he is throwing 90-92 that just means his mechanics were messed up, the kc start was a disaster. He was hitting 94-95 mph against the red sox two starts ago.

Joba after injury has pretty much been a 93-96 mph pitcher doesn't really matter if he is relieving or not. Before the injury he he was a 95-100 mph pitcher as a starter and reliever.

93-96 mph is more than enough for Joba. He can dominant with that fastball. His problem this year has been his mechanics and location. He was really missing his spots in his last few starts outside of the red sox and short angels start. Hopefully going back to the bullpen will increase his confidence in his fastball and start locating it better. Which will be huge because he is likely to get the start in the alcs.

Girardi is smart he knows Burnett is a huge key to the postseason. Burnett and Molina worked well together since spring training. It was pretty obvious watching Posada and Burnett throughout the year that they were not very comfortable with each other the whole season. Posada and Burnett had the whole regular season to get on the same page and they still were having issues.

The yanks need Burnett to pitch well hopefully Molina can make him more comfortable. What good is Posada going 1-3 in the first three at bats of the game if Burnett doesn't pitch well. The two funniest moments from the regular season were Swisher striking out the rays hitter I forgot who it was. But Swish has a 9.00 k/9 and Melky landing on Kurt Suzuki riding him doggystyle lol.

Some of the best moments were Gardner inside the park homerun, melky hitting the cycle, k-rod walking mariano with bases loaded and Castillo dropping the ball and of course Mo getting 500 and Jeter breaking Gehrig's record.

Best game was definately the 15th inning game against the red sox. That was an all-time classic.

This was a great regular season very entertaining hopefully the postseason is too.

If what Tyler Kepner wrote on his twitter is true. Than is looks like Damaso Marte will make the alds roster and Guzman will be off.

Twins got some real good leftys and Mauer always hits Phil Coke. I think it is a wise move carrying another lefty. Take 11 pitchers you dont need an extra pinch runner.

CC would just have to pitch one game in the alcs on three days rest. I would do that than start Gaudin. Especially if they sweep the twins and CC does not make a game 4 start.

I dont have much faith in Gaudin going into lets say fenway park in the postseason and pitching well. I would much rather have Joba starting I dont really care that he pitched poorly in september. But at the same time I dont even remember the last time Joba threw 100 pitches. Joba in the bullpen will really shorten the game though for the yanks. So you hope Gaudin can give you 4 quality innings and then go straight to Aceves.

The only concern with Joba in the bullpen can he pitch on back to back days? He has been starting this whole year.

Joba has to be a starter next year I dont think there is any debate over that. Why would the yankees waste this season watching his innings limit and the stuff they did to protect him. That would be a silly panic move to take him out of the rotation because he struggled in august and september. Joba was doing a very respectable job as a starter until they started to skip and shorten his outings.

But I am fine with them using Joba in the bullpen for this postseason. It is probably better because it will really shorten the game for Pettitte and Burnett. They really have to give you 6 quality innings. And a combination of Gaudin/Aceves could give you 6-7 good innings.

Gald Teix bailed out Gardner. That was a tough read if that did bounce it would been GIDP for Damon I felt bad for him. He is a great late inning weapon though. Damon is a professional hitter he has to hit the ball in the outfield. And carrying 3 catchers did work.

What a job by David Robertson!!! He might be the 8th inning man next year if Chamberlain and Hughes are in the rotation. Unbelivable no one would imagine a battery of Robertson and Cervelli in a postseason game.

Also Marte is brutal he made the team to get the left hand hitters out. Mauer hits a double (blown call) and then hits a single and then Kubel gets a hit.

The umpiring has been brutal basically the entire season. Joba tonight threw his first pitch to Span right down the middle and it was called a ball. Posada did a doubletake. Then pitches high and off the plate were being called for strikes.

Twins did get screwed there but they cant really blame it all on the umpires. They had a 2 run lead with there closer on the mound and they had the basesloaded with no outs and couldn't score.

Joba hit 97 mph today. The velocity is getting higher with every relief apperance. I believe he can still be a very good starter when he puts everything together. But right now for the postseason you got to keep him in the bullpen. Very smart move by Giradi letting Chamberlain and Hughes face Mauer even though it didn't work he singled off both of them. Coke really struggles with Mauer save him for Kubel.

I bet Hughes really is kicking himself for throwing a curve to Punto. No way Punto was going to square up Hughes fastball. Throwing him a curveball was perfect for his bat speed.

I agree that situation is why Marte made the alds roster because twins got a lot of leftys. Obviously Girardi probably lost whatever little trust he had in Marte. I hope they just trade him in the offseason it did not work here. Cashman giving him a 3 year deal when he could of excercised a 1 year option was idiotic.

I was listening to wfan and a couple of callers were ripping Girardi for staying with Hughes and not bringing in Mo to face Punto. Are they serious? Hughes has been lights out and shown he can get out of jams. And it doesn't help the argument that Mariano gave up a hit right after Hughes came out of the game.

The only questionable move Girardi made was taking out Aceves for Marte. I know Aceves looked a little shakey in the 10th so maybe that did factor into his decision. Marte made the team to get the leftys out and he cant do that. They made a mistake taking Marte over Bruney. I bet they will switch those 2 for the alcs roster.

I disagree I thought Girardi moves were fine. Bringing in Marte is technically the correct move to face Mauer and Kubel. That is why Marte made the alds roster. But he is horrible the real mistake by Girardi/Cashman was putting Marte on the alds roster.

He did still had Robertson and Gaudin at that point. Robertson could probably give you two innings and Gaudin is a starter. Girardi cant manage the bullpen like they are going to go 11 innings.

Francona too looked like he wanted to cry. I dont understand why he would walk Hunter to load the bases for Vlad. What a dumb move Vlad is still a more dangerous hitter to me.

And why would you load the bases for Paplebon. He can be very wild at times and walk in a run.

Too bad the greatest reliever in baseball if you listen to red sox fans Daniel Bard gave up a run with the bases loaded in the 6th and could not get out of it without any damage like David Robertson.

Great win nice job by the yankees. Incredible series for A-Rod and Jeter. Posada also very good.

Couple of things I didn't like the lineup was very silent. Teix had a big game 2 cant really get on him. But Damon and Melky had really bad series. And Swish and Matsui didn't do anything the last two games. Melky needs to step it up. Because you really dont want to start Gardy because he is more valuable coming off the bench in the postseason.
Hughes was also kind of shakey that was a little surprising.

Great series. Wow ALCS doesn't even start till Friday. I think that is probably a good thing a lot of the older players can rest up.

What do you think happens with the alcs roster? I think they should add Brian Bruney. I wonder if they will replace him with Marte or replace him with a position player. Would they carry 11 or 12 pitchers?

The yanks almost got burned this series by almost taking 10 pitchers. I was thinking if they did that could of impacted the way Girardi managed game 2.

I agree with nyydanny27. If the yanks are up 3-0 than go with Gaudin.

But anything else which is most likely because angels are a very good team I would use Sabathia on 3 days rest for game 4 and on normal rest for game 7. Remember CC now has an extra 3 days rest because the yanks swept the twins.

It is obvious the way Girardi is using Chamberlain that he has a lot of confidence in him coming out the bullpen. I still feel Joba will be a very good starter once he puts it all together. But right now for the postseason he is very valuable coming out of the bullpen. It will really shorten the game for Sabathia, Burnett & Pettitte.

Joba just went through his first full season as a big league starter. So putting him in the bullpen may keep him more fresh. That is something you are worrying about Hughes. Is he going through end of season fatigue. He looked pretty bad last night and was really missing his location.

Even if it is 2-1, I think I would still use Sabathia on 3 days rest. Go for the kill. And then lets say worst case scenario the angels would rally back from 2-1 there almost certainly would have to be a game 7 and you will have Sabathia on normal rest.

I agree if you said coming out of the spring training Gardner would hit 270 and have a obp around 350 everybody would take that in a heartbeat.

Gardner numbers are similar to Ellsbury except there are just cut more than half because Ellsbury 600 at bats and Gardy had 250 at bats. Ellsbury has the better average but there obp, ops are close.

Gardner also has gotten some clutch hits. He hit two singles one against toronto (Cervelli walk off) and at anaheim (A-rod sacfly) in the 9th to win the game. He had a triple off Nathan in the 9th to get the rally started (Melky walkoff). And last year he had 2 walk off against paplebon and soria. So he has been a decent clutch hitter.

Gardner probably would of got a start in the alds if Guzman made the team. The problem for Girardi is he would be kicking himself if Gardy was starting and a situation came up where late in the game where he needed a stolen base. So I think you are right the only way Gardner get a start is if Guzman makes the alcs roster. Melky better start hitting.

Yep the yankees as a team hit 225 and had an obp of 288 during the alds. Lets be honest A-Rod carried the lineup. The offense needs to step it up especially because the angels pitching staff is better than minnesota. If they hit like they did in the anaheim series they will lose.

Good for Damon that is nice to hear that a veteran player came in today just to get extra work in his hitting. Damon will be fine he is a very professional hitter.

I hope Melky is working on his hitting too. He did nothing but seems to being going unnotice because of Damon struggles. Melky had two infield hits. He is a contact hitter that struck out 5 times in the alds not very good. Girardi needs to play Gardner in center, Melky is looking too comfortable now that he knows Gardner is being used for late inning defense and pinch running.

If Melky doesn't have a good game against Lackey who he hits well I would start Gardner in game 2.

This is the correct move and a very wise move. CC didn't pitch game 4 of the alds he now has 4 extra days of rest. I think Joba will be a great starting pitcher. But right now he looks like he is getting in a groove in the bullpen. I dont think you take him out of the pen for the rest of the postseason.

Next year though I want to see both Chamberlain and Hughes as the number 4 and 5 starter. Again Chamberlain was doing a nice job until the yanks started to move him around and shorten his outings. Next year he will be a normal starting pitcher (180-190 innings).

As far as the 8th inning goes the yanks should make a trade to bring in a legitimate 8th inning reliever so this debate of keeping Chamberlain and Hughes in the 8th can end. Also David Robertson should get a shot at the 8th inning he is maturing and devoloping right in front of your eyes.

I am very interested to see how Austin Romine does. I always felt he will be a better be the future catcher even though Montero has the better bat.

Problem with Montero is his bat is almost big league ready but his catching is not even close. I still feel Montero will be a future DH and Romine is the future catcher.

And we have seen enough Jurassic Parks already, we dont need another. A funny comic play on the subject does have a place though... and the route they took with this, tongue in cheek, is admirable. The trailer must have gotten a good deal of laughs out of both kids and thier parents, and I expect it to do really well stateside.

There really isn't a need for Hinske until the worldseries. The only guy that needs to be pinch hit for is Molina and that will be done by Posada. Even guys like Gardner and Cervelli if they are in late in the game for defensive purposes proved that they can hit.

I like this move because it gives Girardi some more flexibility if he does want to give Gardner a start over Melky.

I'm still not sure about Guzman he is fast though. But Guzman has 9 stolen bases but has been caught 4 times in his major league career. Small sample size but that is horrible percentage for a base stealer. As opposed to Gardner who has 39 steals and has been caught 6 times which is great.

Bonehead move by Torre keeping Kershaw in to face Utley and Howard. He just gave up a 3 run homerun, 2 walks and 2 wild pitches that inning. The dodgers have a very good bullpen too which makes that decision even worse. It they kept the game 3-1 instead of 5-1 they probably could of came back and won because philly bullpen is not very good.

I liked Girardi bullpen management. CC went 8 and Burnett pitched into the 7th. If your starters are going deep into the game. The less you will see from Chamberlain and Hughes. Joba came in a big situation w/ runners on 1st and 2nd facing there 3 and 4 hitters. Got Hunter to groundout and got the strikeout from Vlad. Then he went to Hughes who got in a jam because of an error and then we went to Mo. Girardi is trying to win the game in 9 innings he is not going to save Hughes or Chamberlain thinking it could be a 13-14 inning game.

Aceves was shakey again so I think he pitched well he would of stuck with him longer. Morales is a very dangerous left hand hitter and not a very good right hand hitter. That is a spot for Marte. Marte got him out and Girardi was correct to get out of the game. Marte is a ticking time bomb. You keep him in longer than 1 or 2 batters he will lose the game for you. He went to Robertson probably for 2 innings and then would of went to Gaudin who could give you 5-6 innings.

It is going to be very difficult for the angels to win this series now. I like that if they win tommorow go for the kill with CC in game 4 and get the sweep. That way CC will have a lot of off time before the worldseries starts and that will set up the rotation.

Also this shows that Girardi doesn't have much faith in Chad Gaudin. I wonder if they will pitch Sabathia on 3 days rest in the worldseries. I dont even think Joba is stretched out anymore. He has basically been throwing 10-15 pitches every outing. It will be about a month since his last start by game 4 of the worldseries . So he is staying in the bullpen for the rest of the postseason.

Hitting with RISP was the game changer mostly by Swisher and Melky. And Pettitte on a 2-2 count throwing someone who will basically swing at anything with 2 strikes a pitch way too close to the plate was a huge game changer.

I usually defend Girardi I for the most part like his bullpen managing. But yeah taking out Robertson for Aceves was so dumb. Aceves has looked awful this postseason. Robertson has been lights out.

Also pinch hitting Hairston for Gardner when they walked A-Rod was stupid too. There were already two outs you lost Gardner and now you basically were going to lose the dh if you put your other corner outfielder (hairston) in the game.

Girardi is still an inexperienced manager and it showed today. Hopefully he learns from this.

Melky, Cano & Swisher left 16 men on base. Hitting with RISP has been horrible. Teixeira looks lost at the plate. Jeter, Posada and A-Rod have been basically carrying the entire lineup.

Melky is hitting 200 he is 5 for 25 with 9 strikeouts. Dont know why Gardner has not got a start the postseason. I mean Gardner lost the cf job because he hit 200 in the first 17 regular season games. What happen to riding the hot hand? Melky is hitting 200 in the postseason and Girardi is sending him out everyday.

Swisher is hitting 230 this postseason. Cano is hitting 200. The yankees cannot win if they are getting no production from there bottom of there lineup. And I am going be what they are doing the entire postseason not by one series it gives a better sample size.

Very dumb decision by the two of them. Robertson has been lights out if Robertson gave up a homerun I could understand the yanks losing what can you do.

They are on the road didn't they feel they need to use someone as a closer too if they got the lead. Keeping aceves and gaudin in the bullpen was the smart move. You have Robertson go 2 innings and then go to Aceves.

The team has some dead weight on the roster. They miss Hinske power bat off the bench. Guzman is a non factor. Girardi has no trust in Marte he is scared to use him. The team has too loogy's with Coke and Marte.

Yeah Robertson has really matured as a pitcher. He use to really have problems with his command and walks and he really cut that down. I was listening to the postgame and Kay was complaining why didn't Girardi leave Marte in to face Abreu. Is Kay serious Marte is god awful the less Marte the better. He was also complaining that he should of left Pettitte in with 95 pitches to face Kendrick. No you moron Pettitte looked done and I thought he got Pettitte out of the game at the right time. Joba needs to pitch better. Kay is a clueless moron.

The mistake was taking Robertson out! That is up there with Manuel taking Pedro out and Sciosia pitching to A-Rod with Guzman on deck. As being the worst managers decision this postseason.
