Huh? Look up what collusion is. That's just being smart and avoid a giant lawsuit.

in What will Nathan Myhrvold do with microprocessor patents? on VentureBeat
Myhrvold's infamous for missing the Internet while he was a CTO of Microsoft! Imagine that... how uninformed do you have to be to pull that one off? Had it not been for Bill Gates and him realizing what the Internet will do, MS would have suffered through the early 2000's. This is why MS canned this guy.

And now they're ready to become patent trolls. Just wait... it won't be long before they start with lawsuits & blackmail.

I gave FF a try... what a pointless waste of time. Battling and arguing with people all day long like Scoble is doing is beyond retarded. But hey, while all these people are wasting their time, rest of us have an easier time winning ;).

So please continue using FF!!!

in Startup Failures On The Rise on Altgate
You chose a really bad and biased source. TC is known for being a mean alarmist and Arrington tends to add companies to deadpool that are NOT really dead but he wants them to be. So yeah, take this whole post with a gigantic disclaimer.

fnazeeri Unless TC has become meaner or more alarmist over time, what ever his bias is shouldn't matter. The point is that TC is posting more companies to the Deadpool now than previously.

What a waste of money. RockYou is the most frivolous startup of them all! It produces completely useless stuff! Like, TOTALLY USELESS!

in Blackberry Storm: first RIM touchphone with iphone like multi-touch on iMediaPress
"The new phone will make it much more difficult for Apple to enter the enterprise market as the Storm is a worthy competitor and has the advantage of the Blackberry brand name, the leader in enterprise Smartphones."

That has to be the funniest part of this article :D

in Carriers begin to believe in data revenue, as Android’s puzzle pieces come together on VentureBeat
What a silly analysis. Do you know why Apple hasn't spent a lot of time/money on iPhone's libraries? Well let me clue you in: iPhone runs OS X! And do ou even realize how much more money has Apple spent on that than Google has so far on Android? Also, Android does NOT have multi-touch! Do you know how big of a handicap that's gonna be to Android?!

I believe that Android is going to be a gigantic failure and all this "analysis" is just PR on behalf of google.

A simple search for "facebook shuts down *" would have shown you that there's numerous apps that have been shut down! Most notably those by Slide and RockYou.

albert Thanks - I was responding by email to the earlier comment and am still only on my blackberry. When I click through on your link all the top results are about Scrabulous with one about Top Friends for which I recall there was a security issue. Will look more when I am home tonight.

in Mob Wars, the million-dollar-a-month independent Facebook app, may legally belong to SGN on VentureBeat
I'd love to see you on the other side one day. When you become your own CEO and you start your own company and then when you hire an employee and you pay him out of the savings you have and you find out he left and took your ideas and started his own thing.

THEN you'll come back and bitch some more!!!!

in RIAA speaks on Muxtape: Illegal content on VentureBeat
How is Mixwith and Favtape legal and Muxtape was not? That's a ridiculous statement.

MG Siegler's picture
MG Siegler Read again Steve, I didn't say they were legal, I said they were questionably legal, more meaning other.
tlrobinson's picture
tlrobinson Mixwit (which Muxtape and Favetape ripped off) doesn't host music files, they get them through Seeqpod and Skreemr, which in turn get them from publicly available files on the web.

Whether or not Mixwit or Favetape are completely legal is unclear, but Muxtape was blatantly illegal since they hosted copyrighted material.
