However, the strangest thing happened out of the blue..Launchy is still launched, although anything typed in there has no response. I already have presets on there, even those don't work. I've rebooted in safe mode (i'm running Win XP SP2) used CCleaner to uninstall it, then downloaded it from souceforge again and installed it, to no avail.

Any recommendations will be welcome.

Re: Launchy Problems

I did what you'd described above and got it, i don't know why i didn't think of it!

Thanks a ton

Re: 29 Web Apps For Students and White Collar Workers

That's an awesome list. Kudos to the author, and the person who stumbled it (just defines collaboration on the web!)

Was frantically looking for a free survey system with unlimited questions. Thanks for the link, will check out if it's any good.

Re: I Can’t Believe My Car Radio Makes Me Press And Hold The Power Button While Driving

Paul,

I've used a similar system which needed me to hold it down for 3 seconds. I think you've got a great point there, its not only inconvenient, but dangerous to an extent.

As a user of such a radio, and being a usability enthusiast, I didnot actually go ahead and find the mute button. Why? because the same button that shuts it off, had the volume control for me to turn down to zero. My point being, users are not involved in figuring out their car radio, god knows they've got enough appliances to get 'used to'. Make it as simple as possible, while trying to balance out aesthetics.
