in Ever Changing Feelings on The Weekly Songcast
quite an odd one as the chorus comes accross as quite negative but the overall sentiment is one of moving on and looking forward.
i like a bit of darkness though.
still, change or no change - there is no right or wrong or one size fits all. also there is no try, only do (yoda)

nothing wrong with shandy (especially of the hand variety.)
a bit of a departure eh? its refreshing to hear a light hearted tune although i normally prefer my tunes serious and my beer tepid.
reminds me of an inferior song i wrote a while ago - a sort of lament of a pathetic bit of fast food who dreamed of being served in a gourmet restaurant.

proof that the best songs are the simple ones. I can hear you singing this while packing your bags.
this one really connects - full of positivity and exitement.
this one's up there with the best of them.

Great chillout sounds - reminds me of going out raving in my youth and trying to get home to bed before the sun came up. A very rewarding experiment - could this be a new direction?

yep - a nice bit of uplift - the musical equivalent of an underwire bra. Groovy percussion sounds too.
Just as well - got Armageddon on in the background and it's all going wrong - Steve Buschemi has just got Space Dementia and started shooting everyone.

Had to hear it twice. Really like the organic folky feel.

hey there. big tune buddy.
You gotta turn this one into a massive orchestral moster of a thing.
Glad you decided to use a different title - I think Roxette beat ya to the other one.

Relly liked the glam one with the drums too. – hint of the Sweet or sommet. The harmonies do it for me in the chorus.

Great guitar – then it goes somewhere very unexpected – and then its back again. I like.

One of your most accessible ones yet – really flows. But it doesn’t feel right to critique this one. Congratulations guvenor.

in Come and Light Me Up on The Weekly Songcast
I can feel the unrest. Catchy and intense chorus and nice verses which would sound even better with a bit of harpischord. Maybe just in my head though. The sound is actually nice and bright on my set-up, so being without your studio shouldn't put you off recording more like this. Light yerself up now...

Sounded very familiar - good to hear it finished; isnt it good to finally stop it sloshing about in your head? very breezy...

Nice vibe. Like the groovy guitar, but I also like it when its kicked out of the way by the freaky outburst at the end. Voice sounds great & like the lyrics.

Its hard to know how to comment on this one as its clearly very personal – so i’ll stick to the music. A real nice tune – keeps catching me out – it doesn’t go where you expect. I listened to it before reading the blog and thought “who’s the woman you’re seeing in your missus’ eyes you swine?â€
Strayed off the music there, didn’t I. Great song.

This sounds great. Oh I didn’t spend too much time on production blah blah…Love the guitar – a bit of a folky edge here and great lyrics – quite uplifting. Great tune to launch the forever changing album. Moody photo – is that really you?

Unashamed acoustic pop song in 2 and a half mins. Nice. I thought you said T Rex in verse 2, but I was wrong. Instead you introduce yet another first in an English language song! you should write a song about T rex. All my windows exploded on the outro. Pop music ist gut.

Miaow. This is me fave so far. Maybe because its a bit dark sounding or maybe because i'm listening to it a bit too late not to be in bed. I'll try it again in the morning with some cornflakes to see if it still does it for me. By the way, I am actually always right. Ego that.
