in Equinox introduces the Tube stick on Zedomax.com
I have been using the Tube stick but I am going to replace it because it is the WORST. PRODUCT. EVER. It has several of the singularly most annoying bugs, or so-called features that you could imagine and none of the features you really want, like being able to record another channel while you watch a different one. It has this STUPID "EPG" thing that interupts programs at crucial random moments and ruins the one good feature it does have which is the ability to rewind. DO NOT waste your money on this failure of a product from Hell. I am going shopping tomorrow for something that isn't total garbage.

in Two simple tips to recover unverified email subscribers on How To Make My Blog
Why is is verification needed? They asked to subscribe, and they can unsubscribe at any time. Is it truly necessary or does it just complicate the process?

Marko Saric's picture
Marko Saric @Seamus Anthony, Good question!

Surely it does complicate the process for both the reader and the blogger. I guess it is the matter of security and privacy, this way nobody can just spam add email addresses, each email must be verified before it can be added to the list.

Feedburner, Aweber and others, do not even have the option to remove the verify process.

in Sid Cancels Commitment, World Does Not End. Sometimes, You Need To Just Let it Go on SidSavara.com
Reminds me of that Seth Godin book "The Dip".

And I agree with you by the way, sometimes you just gotta cut your losses...

Sid Savara I read Seth's blog and reread "The Dip" every few months or so, great book!

I just recently finished his new book Tribes as well - he sent all the
people who pre-ordered the book an extra copy to give out to friends. It
felt a bit disorganized but interesting, I'm sure some of it seeped into my
subconscious.

in Uncomparable: anchor a new mama on Derek Sivers
I loved this article - and even more I loved the mouse-on-a-frog-boat photo that suddenly scrolled into view right at the apex of the post. I had a little beyond-mere-words satori moment when I saw it. So thanks :-)

The grand adventure of understanding reality - I LOVE that!

Hey I hope it's ok to do a straight up plug here - it's totally relevant and anyway it's free - my e-book called "Curly's Law". It's about finding your "One Thing" and the power inherent in sticking to that one thing relentlessly. You can download it here http://curlyslaw.com

Thank for this. Without at all taking away from the worth of your lovely article - I do find it funny how many missing "secret" ingredients there are to success - I have one of my own here - http://curlyslaw.com/ - so it's not a criticism. Maybe we should put them all together and make a big hearty Success Stew ;-)

Hey Maya, thanks for dropping by Rebel Zen - I will return the favour and subscribe as you have a wonderful writing style. As a new Dad that tale of the nightly bottle made me go all clucky (having a kid has turned me into a big old softy for the little 'uns) and I like the way you've incorporated meditation into a (albeit pleasant) chore!

Great posts, thanks for the bits of advice I hadn't come across before.

I was wondering if others find too many links out during a post (especially without a real point to them) distracting and even annoying, and if so, would using Zemanta in this way really be such a good strategy?

I already use Zemanta for tag suggestions and sometimes photos which is great.

The fact that there are enough idiots to even allow this woman to get a platform is the sad part.

God, I would just die laughing if Buddha came back and started frying all the Christians for being bigoted arseholes. That would be the funniest.
