Very interesting, I did use a couple of software to manage my books and movies but they are not really that good and I stopped using them. Is there any similar software for Windows?

Nice Post Scoble, though I would like to know if there is a price differnece between teh Zune and the pod, perhaps that would enable me to buy it!

in Don’t send bloggers stuff for free unless it’s good on Scobleizer
Mr.Scoble, you've hit the nail on the wall!! But corporates are too complacent to even consider the opinions of bloggers, the blogosphere is really influential, especially on google.

If I want to buy something, first thing I'll search is google for criticism and blogs will hit!

in Is Apple copying Microsoft? on Scobleizer
It's a two way process, both MS and Apple have "borrowed" each others technologies way back from 1984, so, they would be wise to stop this catfight.

Wow, it's neat! Looks way too pro though..

BTW, Aaron, it's kinda irritating that you need to have the copyright below every post of yours in the feed.. And it's 5 full lines.

One question if you are reading this: Will you be posting more of videos in your blog now?

in How Much Should I Blog? on Technosailor
Interesting post Aaron. You have some valid points up there. As Darren says Frequency vs Niche Quality depends on what are you blogging about and how you have built your blog. I believe in a good blend of post. I post lengthy quality articles sometimes or link to a good article the other time. However, a minimum frequency is a must for maintaining the interest of your readers.

Since Technosailor is more like your Personal blog (not exactly!) I think along with articles you must post your thoughts on a recent issue and stuff like that.

Popcorn is bull costly here. Damn!! The coke costs almost the same as the ticket price.

Tickets are a bit cheap though!

500 Visitors in an hour crashed their servers??? Good lord...... What would happen if they hosted sites like Techcrunch..

I think today's hosting scenario frankly sucks. The dot com boom is as strong as ever and unfortunately a good marketeer should take advantage of this and give top class hosting with good servers.

But sadly :(((/ I think 2 very reliable hosts I've seen are http://lunarpages.com and http://elixant.com.

Dreamhost has too many websites on teh same box. The above hosts are rich in bandwidth and their servers are blazing.

in Credibility in Blogging on Technosailor
Interesting article. I probably have no idea who you are talking about. But Credibility in blogging is an issue that has been rocking the blogosphere for lots of time. Since it so easy to start a blog, especially thanks to wordpress.com and other such sources, I think people will post anything and everything they come upon. Good food for thought.

BTW, I just noticed, is there a contact form or anysuch thing in your website?? Just noticed it today.

Interesting post up there MiniMS has done a lot, even among MS employees and that's no mean deal.

BTW, since you don't really want people to email you, have you tried this tool called http://blogdesk.org for Blogging. It really pwns. My Review

Hey Aaron, you've got one dedicated subscriber here.;) That round the Web section consists of my bookmarks. (spose that was obvious!) You planning on doing a part-time writing job in TBH?

in The Blog Herald: Then and Now on Technosailor
Aaron, what a perfect post, you just echoed my thoughts and beat me to this. I was actually thinking about posting an article on the same lines. Oh! Well!!

I think some of the success of the blog herald has to do with the magnetic influence of Duncan, that currently Matt lacks. Matt blogs way too proffesionally and just quotes what's happening in other blogs. In other words, it's just a reporting service on blogs. :( Blog herald could use some good content. I see promise in the "how do I blog" feature.

TBH could definitely use some full-time writers who care only about the Blog Herald and not post haphazardly due to pressure. Being the first to post something matters a lot and the layout could use a change as well. It's getting a bit annoying.

in My design is my own on Scobleizer
This issue is getting blown way out of proportion, but then again, can't say I didn't expect it. Techcrunch is the top geek blog around the world and the sheer numbers say it all. While the green layout is decent, it doesn't suit Techcrunch at all, especially the shade of green. It lacks proffesionalism, but I don't really mind the ads, my image blocker, blocks em all.! ;)

I also think the fault lies with everyone. Mike Arrington should have given a bit more freedom to his designer as she has better experience in these matters than dictate her but at the same time Rachel should learn to take criticism and things in the right way. In today's world, if you can't take these both, you'll go nowhere. People power matters a lot.

@Robert Scoble:: Design matters a lot!! While content may be king, I think the right design accelrates anything, be it a book, blog, website, etc...

You should really be looking at your own design... IMHO, it's a bit too plain. Some little spize, couple of font changes and borders would be great... After all, a personal blog is your home and you should feel free make it bright, light ,however you feel it. I'm not really asking for a revamp or anything but atleast a slight change to make it more pleasing to the eye.

Hmm....This is a very interesting service by Dave Winer. While practically it may not serve any purpose, the stats part and that of being one in the community is innovative.

Will follow this up.
