I agree, we as christians are afraid to talk to the gay community sometime. Yet Jesus, He would have made a conscious decision to love them and build a relationship with Him.

A lot of people didn't like the "I am not president Bush. If you wanted to run against President Bush you should have ran 4 years ago". They felt that it had nothing to do with this election and what he's going to do. While I do agree with that, I also believe the comment was needed by Bush due to the constant reminder that we cannot have another four years like the last eight...as if McCain was in office the past eight years. If one thing is for sure, it's that McCain is not an Ultra-Conservative.

For me, the most important act is love.
If I disagree passionately for something someone is doing, I won't just sit back and allow it to happen, but I try my hardest to be sure that however I react, that it's in an act of love.
I find that really difficult at times when I see what the person is doing is hurting people all around them.
However, I constantly think of the way Jesus loved. It wasn't always soft and gently, but more times than not it was stern and harsh.
If we get so caught up in the sin of someone, then all that's going to happen is that we're going to forget we are sinners, and our actions towards that person will be covered with ourselves instead of God.

If that made no sense...I'm sorry.

My positioni was ousted.
Which means...I was ousted.

Looking for work(that pays) is now my new position.

This is a great idea, honestly. It seems like a great way for the church bod to take ownership in the church. I feel a lot of time chuch's become like little cliques. If you're just a Sunday attender you end up feeling you have no place in the church and become even more disconnected. Thanks for the idea. I love it.

This could be something great here.

Let me run this by you.

This has the feel of an online blogging small group. I think that could be done. Each week, we have a passage, chapter, story, or whatnot, that as a blogging community we read together. Each week you post a blog post similar to this one. Others who choose to join in this small group of bloggers, comes to your site, and comments. We can discuss, debate, and dissect the scripture together. Experience God's word in a new way, together.

So often we just read as bloggers, but we could be a community that grows together.

It's my thoughts, let me know what you think.

Yeah man, I'm pretty excited about it. I've been really busy this week, I was hoping to get started on this earlier in the week. But yeah, this is going to be a cool thing.

I'm thinking maybe starting in James. I feel like the book of James is so authoritative and just incredible, yet there is so much to learn in the book of James. What do you think? Any input? Thoughts? Advice?

Hey Chris, I hope I can jump in this conversation. I completely agree with you. Or at least most the way. As a blogger, it definitely takes up a lot of time that I could be building his kingdom more, or doing something just more productive in general.

Honestly, the reason this small group has been created is so that while we are blogging, we can have something purposeful to blog about. It will give us a reason to step away from the blog, and read. Once we do read and study the Word, we can then bring it back here, and share with our readers. it's an investment that goes farther than just reading a blog and commenting. It allows us to grow spiritually and emotionally. In Christ, and in a community.

And again i want you to know that I understand what you're saying, and I also did not take it offensively.

"Care for their body and relieve their distress, then you may be given opportunity to care for their soul." I love this line. Ultimately that is what we are to do, care for their soul. However, we are not granted that ability right from the start.

Another great line you wrote was, "Get it straight, it is not God that temps us, but our own lusts and evil desires." So many times I have heard people say, "God is testing me." Are you kidding?! God would not place us in a position intentionally where we would disobey Him, or tear Him down. Satan places us in many positions to tear down God's Kingdom. It's then that God tells us he "supplies a way out". God is always looking to deliver us from evil doings, to deliver us from ourselves.

Good Stuff...I'm sure I'll have more to say later.

Yeah, I sort of agree. I'm a fan. I'm not sure how it got up to 275 times. Perhaps I had it on repeat in the morning when I was getting ready for work and forgot to shut it off. The accurate number is probably more around 75.

I look back now and I think I do this, a lot. Not on purpose, but I do it. I believe that as I call out people. Its too make me look better. To feel better. To seem better...even if for just that moment.

I also don't know if there is any other better sentence out there that is more true about God than the one you stated up there:

"God is kind, but He’s not soft. In kindness He takes us firmly by the hand and leads us into a radical life change."

That radical life change...yeah, I'm there.
