I think it's valuable to have someone in charge of trying to break your crap, though, because (at least for me) it's tough to be a black hat with the stuff you've made yourself. There will always be assumptions if you're in charge of *everything*.
If you go to Kiev for a round of interviews, Ian, I want to see video.

That's good to know, Matthew! I'm flying NWA in April. Glad you've had good luck with them.

in Social in Real Space vs Social Networking on Chris Brogan
To be honest, that's one of my favorite innovations in Bar/Pod/EtcCamps. I spent a good portion of my free time visiting sites listed on the PodCamp Boston site in the days leading up to the event.
Providing a registration directory of some sort not only makes others aware of the attendees, but it also provides some indication of the event's tone. You may be able to find common ground between a group of attendees that may be outside of the main focus of the event but worth a conversation. For those of us who try to keep on top of this world, it also gives an opportunity to do the classic, "Oh, *that* blogger will be there? I've got a question I've been meaning to ask him/her!"
I wish more events would do it, too.

This just begs for a new video podcast, Chris. Whadayaknow... bedsidebrogan.com looks like it's up for grabs.

in Facebook Shows Me Boobies on Chris Brogan
Chris, looks like you found a good one there.
I'd send 'em a support inquiry with this page to see what they say. If you get a canned, "we're sorry you're not satisfied" response, I wouldn't be surprised at all. That's what has happened with my last two requests.
I'm very, very quickly starting to hate Facebook.

in Everybody Needs A Ninja on Christopher S. Penn's Awaken Your Superhero
OK, c'mon, Chris, when is there going to be a "Music and the Ninja" podcast? The groundwork is all there... Virtual Hot Wings, the space angle on High Orbit, and now this amazing video. Of course, the combined awesomeness of you and Ebel might be too great for this universe to handle.
It's amazing to see such extremely talented and creative people coming together to build something, if only a video. Bravo.

in The Circle Story on Chris Brogan
I, of course, ended up finding the circle about five minutes before it disbanded. It was really amazing to see so many people really thinking about our community, and I'm glad Bob got a chance to get it on video.
It was great to meet you last weekend, Chris, even if I'll perpetually be known as the "friend of the Muirs." :-) Wonderful job with the event... it was fantastic.

in Rainy Day = UStream Concert on Matthew Ebel
Thanks for putting these up, Matt - I'm finishing up the third one right now. Great to see the variety of stuff you do with Ernie and how much fun you're having on the island. (I don't see how you can do 3 hours 5 days a week, though - get lots of beer and water!)
