On many occasions, the ship comes to know only after the pirates have already boarded the vessel. You need more man power and alert lookouts. Also pirates are heavily armed and they approach in speed boats. Only warships can deter them.

In case of engineering drawings, it is difficult to find out the mistakes on the computer screen. Definitely hard copy is required to verify the drawing. If paper wastage has to be avoided, then one has to invest in computer interfaced projectors so as to verify the drawing on a larger screen.

I agree. Simulators are one of the training aids and have limitation. After Simulator training one has to go far On the Job Training (OJT).
