Or maybe it's us that are wrong, developing those feelings for animals which should only be viewed as food?
After all, we are the only 'animal' that keeps other animals as pets, for enjoyment and comfort. To my knowledge no other species does this, although there are plenty that eat animals if not alive, then only just dead.
I could never eat anything that was alive. I ate ladybirds once when I was toddler and the thought of that (thankfully, not the memory) makes me queazy!

I'd be lying if I said I'd never photoshopped little bits out of images of myself sometimes (pimples, unruly eyebrows, perhaps a bit of high contrast and soft focus), I mean, hey, this is the Myspace age after all, and everyone wants to look good in photos, but I don't think it really affects me to the degree it affects some.
We've become conditioned to think 'normal' is boring or not beautiful enough, but I do beleive that those insecurities have got to be there already. I don't know how it happens, never having been affected by it to such lengths myself, but there are people out there, specifically young girls, who steep themselves in misery because they don't believe they can compare to this fake image the media too often portrays.
Do you think it affects you?

:(
People are f...ing horrible aren't they?

It does interest me how/why non-western cultures seem to have much more bizarre and cruel eating habits than western. I might also note that many eastern societies don't really keep animals as pets, so the fact they eat cat and dog and stuff seems awful to us, but, I'm guessing anyway!, to them is no different from us eating chicken.

Still, this kind of stuff makes me glad to be a veggie!

It sucks and it's stupid, but at least we *know* they do it. I may be in the minority, but I would say that any woman who gets hang-ups after seeing a perfect-looking model/celebrity in a magazine going to get those hang-ups anyway.

Loving the web hands though, I'm so tempted to do that to some pics of myself just for the amusing David Icke conspiracy factor :)

Always loved 'Spoilt' and 'I listen to bands that don't even exist yet'.'Partly hungry skies' is nice, but 'Living in Harmony' and 'Flying mouse' are utter pants. I mean, it's not even a mouse.
Of course, 'We're not savages' appeals to my patriotic side ;)

Vinegar is usually the best thing to use on windscreens, and a bit of elbow grease obviously. I'm surprised your mate used a razor blade, perhaps it's all in *how* you do it?

I don't own a ferrari, my car cost me £600 (around 1,200 USD), but I still wouldn't use these 'tips' :)

Kind of reminds me of Gunther von Hagens http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gunther_von_Hagens
and his plastination technique http://www.bodyworlds.com/en.html
Grusome beyond words but so incredibly fascinating.
He performed a public autopsy in London which was highly controversial (and illegal I think) but the fact that tickets sold out almost as soon as they were on sale shows just how eager we are to see the insides of us.
I'm a donor card holder so my organs will go on to help people after I die, but I'm just as interested in donating my body to science as medicine.

Yeargh! I have no words! This artical was written like a true farkwit! Use a razor blade on your windscreen? Are you mental?! Jesbus... use a plastic credit card and carefully, unless you want to leave a load of tiny scratches all over your glass. And nailpolish as a quick fix for paint? Umm.. no! Get thee some proper spray on car paint and use a damn primer first. As for dents, you're better off getting hold of a suction cup - a heavy duty plunger if you're that cheap. Also, using hand sanitiser might do the job, but so would some cheap vodka and frankly, if you wouldn't put vodka into your locks, don;t be putting hand sanitiser into them.
Apologies, Cory, but the only people who actually do these 'amazing' money saving tips are the ones with sh***y cars ;)

Heh, now that's nice, but I was thinking old school 1980's with the MkIIs and RS2000's

Check out the drifting on the MkII (It really kicks off around 1.18mins)

I really identify with the Hampster here "I wanted one!!!" (Yeah it's an RS1800 but it still F*%$ing rocks.

And finally, because let's face it we watch rallies for the crashes...

You wouldn't really need to deck it out aesthetically even, just paint in BR Green or jaffa and give it some white stripes and you have yourself a sweet looking drive. To be honest, just giving it a few tweaks would be sufficient. The Ghia was a 1.3 and the RS2000 was a 1.8 (0-60 in around 8.7 which ain't to be sneezed at). Mark I's were one of the most sucessful rally cars of their time, with MII's following suit. Some googling tells me the top speed was 109mph but I know for a fact they can go faster ;)

I'm incredibly and insanely jealous.

I love American Muscle cars and I adored the Dodge Challenger in 2F2F, (if it came with Paul Walker instead of annoying Tyrese it would have been even better - woman thing ;)) but since I'm in the UK the closest I'm ever going to get to anything like that is if I win the lottery and get one imported, so instead I'm trying to track down a MkII Escort and just beef it up a bit.

My first car was a Peugeot 309 - how naff is that? but since they were popular in rally circles in the late 80's I made it my business to test out it's abilities. Road handling and speed is bloody good for something that only has 1.3 engine.

*lol* I should have seen that one coming really. I am the (proud?) owner of a very large, very fluffy bright pink jacket, and pink is my favourite colour - but I couldn't wear pink all the time, it gets you too much attention!
Although you're almost right, I don't think there is a day goes by that I don;t wear at least a touch of pink - usually nail varnish or lippy.

What's your colour?

That's a great article.

I go through phases of only wearing one colour, maybe with a clash of something else, but it never lasts long, maybe only a week or so. During uni I wore black, black and more black, but then I was Goth and colour wasn;t allowed. I can't imagine only ever wearing one colour now. Sure, it's easy to match your stuff but God, how boring it must be after a while! I like being a fashion rainbow, it's more fun.

It's kind of weird - the ones I recognise most are the ones from the 70's and 80's back when I was a kid and helping my dad with his never ending auto collection. I prefer those ones, they look more solid somehow, more *metal*.

Maybe I'm biased, but why do all the modern logos have some crass 3D light effect on them all. Makes them look less like someone has put any thought into them and more 'just whack it through photoshop and see what comes out.'

I know they keep telling us that global warming is making the glaciers melt and all, but hell, this is taking reactions to the extreme ;)
