John Burton People have differing opinions. From what I can tell, Todd has repented for all areas of compromise, and the other points of discussion (the non-absolutes of scripture) aren't worth dividing over. Some of the other areas that people debate, such as doctrine, are just that- debatable. People can disagree and still be unified.
In fact, unity doesn't require we hold to the same doctrinal positions, but rather, we agree to stand together in spite of our differing positions. The issue of unity is actually highlighted when people disagree. Can we still stand together though we have different opinions?
Of course, as Christians, we can't ever violate the absolutes of scripture... but, the non-absolutes should not cause division.
