One good thing that John has is a popular posts section, where he has all of this best stuff. For most people, starting there is the best bet, as opposed to reading about the latest burger John has eaten.

- Dave

Re: Can Google SEO and Social Bookmarking Coexist?

Hi Garry,

I completely agree with this post. The reason why we all use Google and not eXcite! or AltaVista is because Google is always working to get information to users that they want and can use. In the early days, this meant they had to use SEO type things like tags, keyword density, etc. Today, however, as the internet grows more sophisticated and more tools become available, is it any surprise that Google uses these as well? Particularly if they prove to be better indicators of quality content? The good news, though, is that if you do put in the time to create a quality site, you can expect your rankings to go UP as Google makes changes. The only people who will suffer will be those who made sites for search engines, and not people.

Re: Systems Work People Fail and So Did John Chow In His Review of The Reverse Funnel System

Hi Gary,

Thank-you so much for this post. There are so many MMO blogs selling these kinds of systems, I can’t imagine how many people have been hurt by these kinds of scams. The bottom line is, there is no system that you can follow that will instantly make you money. It just doesn’t work that way. As far as John Chow goes, I can only assume he’s sliding down a slippery slope. He started out trying to help people honestly to make money online, but now he is increasingly willing to sell out his integrity for profit. I guess he rationalizes it by thinking that he doesn’t do it all the time, he still gives good advice on his blog sometimes. However, he is walking down a dark path now, and this “Reverse Funnel System” is a new low. It’s sad really. He’ll make money, but he’s losing his soul in the process.

Re: Writing Job: Make Money Blogging About Celebrity Gossip

This post has been featured in FullTiltBlogging.com's Daily Blog Summary today.
