I left the Democrat Party many years ago when they drop-kicked Mr. Jefferson and his principles out the back door. They swung the Party to Old World collectivism; measuring human value - and non-value - by the group. Groups are merely verbal plural units of convenience - not Reality. Blacks, Latinos, women, unions, homos, poor, rich, tree-huggers, academic elitists, socialists, Marxists, etc. etc. became their way of appeal and measure. Reality is only in Individuals. The demos take dead-aim - and miss. Mr. Jefferson is still Right! Glad to have you, Sir!
