in Can I get some clarity on that? And can we do some engaging? on Mobile Industry Review
The synergy-related headcount adjustment goal is when the football team that has had one or more players set off the pitch, goes on to win the game in fortunate and bizarre circumstances.

in Android ‘reboot’ command gets a fix on Mobile Industry Review
Yes it does, Elliott our developer at Carsonified insisted on seeing if he could get mine to do it yesterday and succeeded. If you start typing straight from the home screen it will do it. Currently it is open to an Android shell commands such as telnetd which allowed Elliott to make a call via remote access from the command line of his macbook. I will be updating my G1 to see if it shuts him out.

in iRiver concept touchscreen phone could, possibly, maybe, perhaps, someday, arrive on Mobile Industry Review
iriver have made the best and properly usable portable audio players for several years now. Just because they have the latest indy popsters dancing on silhouette on the TV does not make ipod's any good, they are for DRM crippled losers just like their phones.

Please could you try the on screen text input and comment on whether the haptic feedback makes it quickeer and more accurate in use than other touch screen devices. Tons of BB users are going to clamor for this device, but will it remove the killer BB function of email easily?

There is also a deal where you can pay £39.99 and then have £35pcm contract with a flext 1000 mins, works out a little cheaper in the long run.

in T-Mobile UK dipping into social media, finally on Mobile Industry Review
This is clearly all moving in the right direction. There was chronological serendipity when TMobileSharing appeared on Twitter and the email inviting me to place my order arrived in my inbox. Unfortunately the links in the web page were dead as they were not destined to work until 7am today. I picked up the phone and was quickly dealt with by very helpful T Mobile staff who pre credit vetted me and arranged to call me back at 7 this morning to complete the order. Alas the handset was invisible on their systems so they arranged to call me again on my office number at 9am. Which they duly have and I await a G1 before 1pm tomorrow.
In the course of this interaction I have fed back that the links were not active and also commended the first person who was very helpful to me on the phone yesterday evening. The great thing about this, is that the Twitter interaction makes me feel like someone is listening to what I think about the experience of joining T Mobile. My hope is that Nixon McInnes build up a large volume of feedback of all kinds and can actually get the T Mobile marketing chiefs to read it all and see the value of the interaction.
Now I await my first interaction with the billing system....

in Orange landline problem - can you help? on Mobile Industry Review
I have an Orange account with a Nokia 6500 classic, and previous N70 on it and have experienced the distortion and echo on all call types. I have found that dissabling 3G helps reduce this and generally improves voice, but it still happens. Orange signal is really poor at getting through walls so It is issue is far more prevalent indoors.
Basically the Orange signal just sucks in many places. If you try and talk to them about it they blanket deny the problem exists.
99% of the time if you hang up and dial again the echo disappears.

Yeah the 'hang up and dial again' trick does work sometimes for her, but more often than not, it doesn't :(
