in First look at OpenSUSE on the HP Mini-Note on Liliputing
Awesome, thank you! I've been waiting for someone to review the linux model.

I've been following the mininoteuser forums' conversations about it, so I already knew it apparently has no video acceleration in Linux, which made me want one a lot less... now this video is making me want one again.

... except for that ending part. Seriously, my N810 works better than that -- what's going on? :( It really does seem like HP tossed Linux on there without even trying to get drivers for the parts that needed it.

I noticed you got a model without bluetooth -- are you planning on adding bluetooth?

Brad Linder I don't have that much need for Bluetooth, but I do have a USB Bluetooth dongle lying around somewhere. So I might try it out when I install Windows XP so I can wirelessly sync my PDA.

in HP 2133 Mini-Note Linux version might not be such a great deal on Liliputing
I'm surprised. SuSE's package manager is YAST, which is different from Ubuntu's, but the same solution should work... but SuSE has also always been the best out of box with laptops, so I'm surprised it has such problems. Did they even try to make it work better or optimize it for the Mini-Note?

I'm a big Linux fan, so I'd be going the SuSE route in any case. I use Debian and Ubuntu now, but I used to use SuSE, so I was thinking of keeping it on the Mini-Note.
