Yeah, there's lots of love for Welling out there. Lots of people want him to take over the Superman film franchise. But I have a feeling it'll be Sam Worthington. He is WB's "It" boy right now. Terminator, Clash of the Titans, Avatar, and next up - Superman.

actually the variance of an individaul roll cannot be adjusted by rolling more dice. for a Binomial Distribution (which dice throwing is a perfect example of) the variance is equal to the number of trials x prob. of succes x prob. of failure. If you roll one dice hoping for a six, the variance = 1 x 1/6 x 5/6. if you roll six dice, the variance for the whole trial = 6 x 1/6 x5/6. therefore the variance for a single dice roll within a six dice trial is still 1 x 1/6 x 5/6.
Granted, the more dice you roll, the more likely it is that you will do damage, but it does not affect the probability of each individual weapon doing damage.

Sorry if this is too pedantic, but the relevant term here is "standard deviation", which is the square-root of the variance and gives an indication of the likely spread of results. Broadly speaking, 2 out 3 results will lie within one standard deviation of the average, and 19 out of 20 will lie within twice that range.
Because the average score increases with the number of dice, but the standard deviation only increases as the square-root of the number of dice, the percentage variation becomes less the more dice you roll -- hence the claim that it is "more reliable".

Did anyone ever think for one second that maybe these two have been friends for a while? FYI Lords of dogtown...Byt noone ever paid attention when they could have hung out before because the only reason we care so much now is beacause of TWILIGT. Hey i think it could be true lords of dogtown was like 2005 i think they were both in it and had scenes together so they knew each other for a while

I think like all star-crossed love stories, there is something about Meyer's saga that speaks to all our feelings in relation to love, tragedy, jealousy, triumph, and obsession. I personally did not enjoy the ending of breaking dawn. It's my least favorite book. In NM, Bella keep asking herself over and over again - "Could I betray my absent heart to save my pathetic life?" I think in this sense she is selfish - trying to keep Jacob around without understanding the implication of such an action on his personal well-being. And she does this even as she knows how he feels for her. Although her guilt is ever present, it does not excuse her selfishness. She does not want to lose him, but cannot love him the way she loves Edward. She needs Jacob to keep her alive. And keeping her alive is also keeping the hope that Edward will return to her, and they will be together again. Losing Jacob at that point in her life would mean losing her sanity, herself. I hope all these conflicts come to light in the movie.

Yes, I agree with you 100%. However, you can call Bella's actions both selfish and selfless. She wants to give in to Jacob to make him happy which is selfless, but she keeps him around because she loves his company (which is selfish since she knows he loves her and she does not). However, after Edward returns and all through Eclipse and BD I started to dislike her because its time to cut Jake lose. You cant have it both ways.
I really dont think Bella uses Jacob in NM. She's always honest with him about Edward. The fact that she keeps Jake around is in friendship and she admits she loves him as a friend. She makes mistakes such as holding his hand, the hugging, etc. And she tries to reign back that aspect of their relationship but he doesnt let her. In fact, he says its ok that she doesnt feel the same way. I have a hard time having male friends because its never enough for them. So I can understand that aspect of the story.

Just wanted to add, it's pretty selfish to see what benefit someone can give to you. Imagine someone looking at you and thinking about who you are. He would judge you by what you can do for him.

Why in the world would those billionaires want to be YOUR friend? If they have the same mentality as you, they won't care about you. Your income will drag their 10 closest friend's average down by a lot. I would like to add, please don't be so materialistic. I like money a lot, but you're really going overboard here.

I say that you should hang out with people that are wealthier than you and have a strong drive of positivity etc. I am not being materialist because I also covered spirituality at people are just interested in growing in general.
James, I wrote this post VERY carefully to make sure I covered exactly what I meant. If you read the comments, there are several people like yourself who question this blog. I tell them the same thing I told you, read my words carefully.
