in Perez Hilton’s Despicable Michael Jackson Coverage Creates Backlash on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
It looks like he edited the post to remove the horrible comments. The pic is gone as well. He also made a new post when the news was confirmed, this time he treated the issue with respect.

He only did it when he realized how he angered the bloggers that saw it.

in Reader Participation - What would your last meal be? on The Ultimate Foodie Blog
A roasted chicken, green bean casserole, ground veal stuffed olives breaded and fried, bacon wrapped fillet mignon medallions, butter squash, a pitcher of Stone Brewery Double Bastard ale, the chocolate cheese cake that reminds me of a loved one, and a double Bombay Gin dry martini. I could die happy after that.

in Waking up - Testimonies of Ex-Christians on ExChristian.Net -- encouraging ex-Christians
If it could be proven then what's the value of faith?
oddbird1963
Who puts such a great value on faith? People who are already believers. People who want to force you to believe bunk, so they create this great concept of "faith" and brainwash the in-crowd to make a positive character trait out of it.
If it is contrary to reason and has no real evidence to back it up, "ye' have to have faith laddie!"
Your question is not appropriate for those who simply ask for reasonable evidence - for ex-Christians who demand proof. Your question is appropriate for guilting, shaming and browbeating Christians who may be awakening to the fundamental flaw of Christianity - there is no reason to believe it is true.

This is a beautiful post. Very well thought out and communicated. I have no problem with a blogger who writes paid posts, every so often, if it's honest and fully disclosed. I like the idea that anyone, a "blogger mom" if you will, can create something like a celebrity endorsement. I keep thinking about Michael Jordan eating Big Macs on McDonald's commercials. Am I supposed to believe that a world class athlete is chowing down burgers before a big game? There is much more honesty in Chris's Kmart post. Also, I've met Ted Murphy and Ashley from IZEA, and they do get it.

Actually, I tried to watch an episode online earlier tonight and the thing wouldn't load. Plus, the nice part about the DVD versions... away from the computer for a while. But still, good to know in a pinch. Thanks!

I just read the VP of Marketing response. They apologize for offending and are pulling the ad. How could they not see what was coming?

I got giddy when I saw the first trailer in the theater. It looks like they did a really good job in staying with the comic (I go back before graphic novels - such a geek). Rorschach sounds exactly like a thought he should.

I tried Unique Blog Designs when they first started out, and I knew nothing about wordpress. I had a really bad experience in both customer service and guidance, and ended up scrapping the whole theme. I wouldn’t go back. I think I spent 800 bucks for what I now realize is an easily modified free theme.

in Roman History and Google Earth on Sam Harrelson's Comment Forum
That is so freaking beautiful. I was in Rome about 12 years ago and stayed down the street from the Colosseum. How great will it be when each historical era will be available like this.

Exactly.
I spent a couple of weeks in Rome (and Athens on the same trip) while I was in college and it changed my life... pointed me in the direction of the ancient history stuff.
However, as we walked through the Forum or even the Colosseum, I had a hard time imagining what it must have been like for the Romans themselves.
Not to mention, when I wrote a book for Yale Press on an Assyrian palace a few years ago, we paid a ton of money to a private company that was doing "archaeological 3D reconstructions" that were along these lines (but vastly inferior).
My fingers are crossed that Google goes nuts and expands beyond Rome to Athens, Jerusalem, Babylon, Nineveh, Shanghai, York, etc... can you imagine being able to teach history and pull up a 3D fly over in real time??
Amazing times we live in and I can't wait to see what my daughter grows up with in terms of tools to understand the past. I'm jealous because all I had were a few outdated World Book Encyclopedia articles and my imagination, but that jealousy makes me hopeful.

The first thing I think of is Nietzsche of course. The "Death" seems like a little sensational marketing no? Are you looking to write from a Christian perspective on losing faith or an Atheist point of view?

Well done and on the money. Good way to research the ads on google with out clicking on them (costs them money) is click and paste the url into your browser. The advertiser should at the very least, make the display URL redirect to the correct landing page.
