thank you, Howie and Reymundo the USA will NEVER be able to compete with Top footballing nations. i'll admit they give a good fight but alot of the calls go their way because of excellent acting and stupid and bias officials. i once logged a comment that they possess no true talented footballer THAT WAS BORN THERE, GREW UP THERE and all hell broke loose after.
As said before they are well programmed(disciplined) but they just can't compare...........

Just because we are playing at home, It doesn't mean the goals will start flowing but again, I am confident that we will get a win. I don't know how but I believe we have what it takes to win.

Ronaldo did very well as lone striker. I know he missed a penalty but that happens sometimes. All of the best players in the world that came before him had missed crucial penalties including in the world cup final games. It was just in the first mins where nobody was settled and sometimes luck is important and it wasn't in his side yesterday. Aside that though, he performed very well.

Rooney and Park struggled a lot. Scholsy, Evra, Rio, Harg and Van De did quite well. I think so did Brown.

Somethings to take from this is that, If we decided to play defensive football, it shows that we can get results even if that is not our style of play. I believe Vida's illness somewhat forced us to sit back and not be adventures

Although Barca had the majority of the possession, they were wasteful in front of goals. I didn't notice that many attempts which troubled Van D.

In conclusion, We didn't play well and the result might not be the best but we set up ourselves fairly to the return leg. I believe we have the advantage progressing.

Ronaldo missed a penalty, so what?! It happens to all great players once in a while. Top striker in the premiership AND the champions league this season, and thats from midfield. He also has set up a number of goals for teammates... He will finish Barca off if he gets one or two chances in the return leg, be sure of that.

United - Barcelona should have been the final, because it's the two best teams in europe this season easily. Chelsea and Liverpool is no comparison this season...[/quote]

You're right - United v Barca as a ONE OFF - i.e. the final, would have been the perfect match for all concerned, including the neutrals.

Worst case scenario is meeting the scousers in the final - apart from a few good fights around Moscow...hehe

Barca played ALL OVER Man U ..but those STUPID ENGLISH commentators were only putting Man u in positive light when in fact they COULD Not make a note..I HAD TO WATCH THE REST OF THE GAME ON THE SPAINSH CHANNEL....THEY'RE BETTER ANYWAY.....Man u SUCK but they do have good players...

i can assume that both Will and Jd are americans........anyway I stand by what i said...THEY HAVE NO NATURAL TALENT..they're programmed........I love football but i'd rather read a book than watch the US play.....you guys spend so much time learning about players history...it's a joke....can any of you even play this beautiful game or are you all commentators..(talk the game)

USA "soccer" team is a joke! Anyone who can play but can't make their Native Country's team is given a green card(citizenship) to play for USA......NO USA!
