I 100% agree with Cynthia and and ramona - if you're parents are willing, then go there until you can offload the house.

in photo schedule - the first week on revjim.net
*grin*
I didn't count the first week as that one's a gimme as you're all fired up. Being out of town/ borked laptop is reasonable excuse for last week, so this week and next week are the key weeks to make this plan a habit.
Some of us are watching...
Regards,
Rob...
(I liked "cold skin, dead eyes" best from that week btw)

You're absolutely right. The most important week isn't the first one in which I did it, but, rather, the last.
We'll see how it goes. Thanks for watching and thanks for the compliments.

I admire your optimism and high ideals on the amount of free time you think you have! Good luck!
I'm especially looking forward to the less-formal shots of Celeste.

Ha ha ha.
I know I have NO free time as it is. I'm hoping that, by getting rid of some stuff and embedding this deeper into my life, it'll make time for itself.
We'll see.
I have a Flickr set full of candid and studio shots of Celeste. I'm hoping this will help me add many, many more to that.

I would have liked the 16-85 to have been a bit faster at the long end tbh.
I agree about the line up. It would be a good idea of Nikon discontinued the 18-70 to tidy it up a bit.

It worked really well for that image I thought, even though I am generally not a fan of the effect.
As an aside, "reflected trees under blue skies" is my favourite of all your (non-studio) images so far :)

I'm really glad it was a regular reader and not a drive-through clicker! Nice pic to choose for his father too!
It looks a bit "HDR"ish if you see what I mean. Is that a result of post processing?

There aren't any DRM issues with iPods. There are DRM issues with the iTunes Music Store.

Just looked a the NEXBlank - ugly, isn't it?!
Personally, I think the design and usability of the iPod family is fantastic.

I also have a recovery plan that works with my backups. I'm not convinced that you can restore a pop3 gmail backup back into a clean gmail account, but I could be wrong.

Two journals: 1 for "anonymous" and one for everything else.
On the "everything else" journal, have multiple RSS feeds: one per category.
i.e. Let the user worry about it. It's their problem, not yours.

though. Is it still reasonable when considered that long term?
My parents are also moving to another city within the next 2 years. I
would have to move with them, in that case, which should be fine for
work, but might make other things more difficult.
