This is a great application, however, the contact search does not work. Even though the search contacts feature is turned on in settings, it never searches contacts.
The other Google searches, including calculations, definiitions, conversions, etc. work great.
I have included a list of what works and what doesn't in a new post at

in Getting Things Done — Online — with Nozbe on Becoming A Writer Seriously
Tom - thanks so much for the mention and link for my blog. Your post is concise and has some great links for GTD'rs. And I definitely agree, writers will benefit greatly from implementing a GTD system.
I know, because one of my primary tasks in projects for a large local government supporting technology training for 10,000 employees is writing technical documentation and training manuals. I am working on over a dozen active training development projects at any given time, some with hundreds of task by the time they are completed. And I have used Nozbe everyday since discovering the application in March of this year. It has definitely improved my productivity, and relieved lots of stress.
I've written several posts that provide details about my experiences with GTD and the applications I use on my blog at http://johnkendrick.wordpress.com/how-to-gtd/
Thanks again, I really appreciate it! John

in What I Took Away From “Getting Things Done” on Tropophilia
I used and taught Covey and Daytimer for many years before reading David Allen's GTD book and switching to GTD. Its made a significant impact for the good on my business and personal productivity.
And I found an application that allows me to view my entire GTD at work on my Win machine, at home on my Macs and even on my cell phone. And another app lets me call in tasks to my GTD without any writing or typing, great for those thoughts that hit me while driving.

Good points. I associate macro goals with Covey and micro goals (tasks) with GTD. I used and taught Covey and Daytimer for many years before reading David Allen's GTD book and switching to GTD. in Corporate computer policies and GTD on Curious Creature
At least you got a taste of Mac and OS X at work. I just tried to get an annual Citrix license to support remoting in from my Mac at home and got the reply, "No, we are not going to support Macs". This after I even offered to pay for the license. No matter, I just installed the Citrix client in Windows XP which I have running on my Mac using Parallels.
I do agree that web apps are the way to go for GTD. The system I use allows me to view my entire GTD at work on my Win machine, at home on my Macs and even on my cell phone. I agree with your requirements, those were also what I needed and the most important was access to my GTD from anywhere. I worked with a Covey system system for decades before reading David Allen's book and finding an electronic application that allows me to view my entire GTD at work on my Win machine, at home on my Macs and even on my cell phone. And another app lets me call in tasks to my GTD without any writing or typing, great for those thoughts that hit me while driving. Wow, great list. I knew there were many GTD apps out there but that list is still surprising. My pick of the litter would be Nozbe. I worked with a printable system, before finding an electronic application that allows me to view my entire GTD at work on my Win machine, at home on my Macs and even on my cell phone. John - that's a wonderful GTD blog post! Thanks for the link. I used Nozbe for a while but couldn't get into it long-term. I'm starting to gravitate towards old school paper and pen!

On your #5, have you tried an electronic GTD. Not only do I get a look at email at the lights, but I have my entire project and task list with me. I use to use a printable system too (first daytimer, then Covey), before finding an electronic application that allows me to view my entire GTD at work on my Win machine, at home on my Macs and even on my cell phone. And another app lets me call in tasks to my GTD without any writing or typing, great for those thoughts that hit me while driving. Looks like you've got something that works for you. I just couldn't get into GTD with paper, but then I found an application that lets me access my GTD on my desktops at work (Windows), home (Macs) and even on my cell phone. You might also want to try an application called Nozbe. I use it to access my GTD from my Windows computer at work, my Mac at home and even carry my GTD with me on my cell phone, I am never without it. I've written a couple of recent posts about my experiences at http://johnkendrick.wordpress.com

I too am a recent convert to GTD, spending the last couple of decades firmly in the Covey camp. I found an application that might be something you could add to your list as it has helped me implement GTD, everywhere I go. I can access my system from my Windows machine at work, my Mac at home and carry with me everywhere on my cell phone. I am a rather late comer to GTD, having been asleep in my Franklin Covey planner for the last decade, but recently started implementing GTD after finding an app that allows me to take it wherever I go, desktop at home and work, and on my iPhone. I posted my recent experiences with GTD on my blog at http://johnkendrick.wordpress.com.
