goodwordediting Christa, it's a great site isn't it? The videos themselves are deceptively
simple, but there's something completely honest about them. I watched the
Stephen Baldwin video just out of curiosity and found it very moving.

in Out of the Closet - I Believe in Evolution on GoodWordEditing.com
I'm probably going to win the wingnut of the century award with these comments, but since Marcus was so brave, I'll take the bait.

Perhaps it's deciding not to decide, but I like the idea of God as the Big Bang. Like The Big Bopper of Evolution. Really, though, wouldn't "someone/thing" have to set up the bang to begin with?

I'm always amused by the evolving from apes (there are days, especially after reading the news, if I don't wonder if it's the reverse). Nothing to do with its truth. I just wonder why there are still apes.

in Do We Really Want Our President on Twitter? on GoodWordEditing.com
Mark:
i'm going to have to stir this around my little gumbo pot of a brain for some time. But...hmm...will other countries' heads of states be following n their own Twitters?

And is Twitter going to be eligible for federal funding because if it can't keep my "OLDER" button working consistently to get me past the first page, how's it going to handle possibly milliions?

And while I appreciate his being open to technology's influence and power, I also wonder (and maybe worry) how much weight those opinions will carry as an wingnut can be on Twitter. I mean, I am, so...

And wouldn't it create even more gov't muckamucks? We'll have to create a Department of Twittering and appoint Twittees to follow the Twitters and who'll report to the chief twit...

in I Want to Pray Like the Oak Ridge Boys on GoodWordEditing.com
First, thanks for link to 22 Words blog. Like anorexic twitter. Great site.

Profoundly honest statement by your daughter. She verbalized what I often feel in prayer when I attempt to start talking to God in some King Jamesian language. Not sure if it's God or me talking back asking me why the blazes I'm doing that. Sometimes, I think it's a way of providing a distance from God when I'm afraid of how he may answer.

Often, it's easier for me to journal my prayers/conversations. I can talk to God there in a way that's real or at least really sounds like me. I'd like my pen to float across the page in some magically spiritual God-response. So far, not yet. But after I empty myself on the page, and wait, I sometimes find myself writing what I believe is dialogue.

Um, where were you with these fab-o ideas when I was a mommy of five boomeranging from Houston to New Orleans? Probably in diapers. . . and, of course, I don't mean Depends.

I'm home from the Daytona AP Reading. . . The book was in my stack of mail. Thanks so much!

I read, of course, the poem about your AP Daytona experiences, especially since I'm in AP Daytona-land now. So, the stories I've heard all these years are true. How sad.

Then, I went to Paradise High. I'll never see school the same way again. Powerful stuff ya' got there.

You're right about the courageousness of connectedness (but then, you knew that, right?!). What's sad is when the "glue" is missing, it's terribly obvious.

I read your Twitter post about Flock; of course, I jumped right on it. How could I resist one more way to creatively procrastinate? But, now I'm sooooo confused! Is Flock going to allow me to marry all my social networks or do I still date them individually?
