in Cheap Car Rental: 8 Things to Remember on I travel to work, Do You?
I've got a trip in May that I'm still debating on whether I should drive or fly. I can probably get a free buddy pass for the airlines, but then destination transport will be a problem, so I'll need a rental. I can drive (it's only about 12 hours from here), but I'm not sure what the gas prices will be like then.

in Step Away From the Lonely Planet: A Requiem for Travel Guidebooks on Everything Everywhere
Not necessary, no. But, on my very first trip to London, I picked up a travel guide before I went and it was very useful. Even though I'm very confident there now after several trips, I still tuck it in my bags. A well organized and easily toted book can be a great asset, especially for people who don't roam around the city with a laptop or blackberry. It's easy to pull out to find the closest family-friendly restaurant or the nearest tube stop to a site. Plus, even with all of the amazing amount of information available now online, the book did inform me of several cool places that I don't think I would have discovered any other way. After almost 11 years, I think I've got my 15 dollars or so out of it.

OMG - I can't imagine the retribution I'd get for passing out boxes of raisins. Or even worse - pennies! I always hated trick-or-treating when people would give out pennies or those little religious comic books.

Very cool. This could solve the eternal battle between my husband and I over the show we watch. He could watch his westerns on the TV while I find something that doesn't make me want to kill myself on my laptop!

in Travel Destinations: Champs Elysees, Paris, France on I travel to work, Do You?
I would love to see Paris again someday. The last time I was there, I was much to young to appreciate it. I'd really like to take the Chunnel to Calais and then on to Paris with my children next time I'm in London.

in Places to Visit in 2009: Dubai, A Tourist Paradise on I travel to work, Do You?
It would certainly be a nice place to see. I'd really like to see the islands with my own eyes or stay at the Atlantis hotel, but I'm afraid a trip there is so far beyond my means it's not even funny. Sad. It's beautiful, but definately a playground for the wealthy. I still enjoy seeing all of the pix though....I can dream.

in Why All Of Us Should Have A Laptop? | ixibo on ixibo! Technology Blog
I've got another use - when I'm working at night and don't want to turn on the lights and wake everyone up - I just use it as a flashlight. The other night I was trying to find a kitten that was playing under the bed so I just propped up my laptop and it lit it up nicely for me!

That is reminiscent of a set from Blade Runner. I can almost see the flying cars zipping through.

I love instant noodles! Fortunately, even in the middle of the US, several stores near me carry a fairly nice selection of the "good" ones!

I got married in Vegas, baby! WOOT! The Little White Chapel across from Circus Circus. Wow, it will be 15 years on the 29th of Sept. and still going strong.

in McDonald’s Malaysia: Golden Arches Over The South China Sea on Everything Everywhere
I rarely eat McDonald's here at home, but whenever I travel abroad I absolutely 'must' stop by the local McDonald's just to see what it's like. My favorite so far has actually been the ones in London because they had Cadbury Flake McShakes. Yummy milkshakes with a piece of Flake bar stuck in it.

So, if my score is higher than my husband's do I get an honorary "Man Badge"?

Oh how cool! I was thinking about doing some of my lectures as an mp3 that people could listen to, this might work nicely to add them to my sites. Thanks!
