Ella Goh: My comment regarding your questions - I don't think alot of US students really differentiate between college and uni (see my comment above, where i refer to "college" apps). You graduate with a BA/bachelors in whatever major(s) you choose. Masters is post-undergrad, doesn't have to be immediately after you get your BA, as some people wait several years after before applying. And, you can enter uni/college w/o knowing your major because you still have to declare (usually happens after you satisfy the prerequisites, at least that's how it was for me, and i went to berkeley to give you a point of reference)

i hated my freshman calc class as well! i had a similar situation, trust me, when everyone in the class moans during a final because a question was written poorly, you know there is something wrong..

so nice to have good friends :) i remember getting packages when i was studying in singapore.. such a nice feeling. hope you are doing well. is it getting cooler yet?

wow columbia looks so nice. i don't know if any pictures could make my public uni look as nice as this one, but we did also have a lawn with sunbathing/tanning ladies during warm sunny days. i'm surprised people queue up to get in the library, no one did that at my uni, although it was open 24 hrs during finals week.

i bet i can tell u how much it costs to put an ad in times square.. cuz we had to do research for work ;)

books are soooo expensive. half.com is good but if your campus has like bookswaps or something you should def take advantage of it (buy backs at the end of the qtr/sem are not worthwhile either...)
