Excellent post and summary of what is going on right now. I can't remember a time with as many whipsaws as we've had recently. Perhaps when the summer is over things will get a little better and easier to swing trade.


I agree also with the lack of a gut-wrenching bottom. I really wish we would get one, but interference by outside sources (i.e. gov't) seems to be set on preventing a breakdown by any means necessary. Perhaps that is one reason things are so difficult right now as well.



Oil still is a big key in my eyes. I think it is done longer term but is very much overdue for a bounce. Perhaps a bounce here could lead to a retest of the recent lows which would allow a better bottom to be formed. We can hope, right??

I just couldn't tell which blog post was supposed to have triggered this, as you didn't provide a link. Based on the first sentence, it seemed like you were responding to something both recent and specific.


Incidentally, the perpetual framing of Scott Walters as a put-upon victim has become inaccurate, in my opinion. Scott has, at this point, dominated the theatrical blogosphere. All major conversations are, in some way, a response to him. In our microscopic little community, he's the New York Yankees now. Once it made sense to think of him as the underdog, but not really any more.

I too was named as defendant in a malicous lawsuit from buyer that claims they paid too much for property. So far I have spent 10k in defense. I am inspired to provide Pre-Paid Legal for everyone as our Legal system is in breakdown. Justice for All that can Afford! Only $26 per month for your own atty. on retainer. Save $$$

I used to take issue with Scott when he was actually slandering New York artists, but I feel like he's laid off that for months, and I haven't really had a problem with him since. He can be a choad, sure, but he works really hard, and he's no more imprisoned by his prejudices than I am (which is to say, plenty imprisoned).


"Theater juggernaut" is hilarious, especially when imputed to a bunch of piteously struggling NY artists. I know that as a NY theater blogger, I'm supposed to somehow belong to some group of cruel cool kids from an '80s movie that all the scrappy soulful nerds from around the country are rebelling against, but I sure don't *feel* like a handsome blonde bully in a convertible most of the time, or ever.



Actually, "theater juggernaut" is hilarious in any context I can think of.

Labor leaders and progressive democratic congresspersons warned him that NAFTA would result in fewer US jobs as corporations would invest in jobs overseas where labor is cheap, and unions essentially none-existent. What this really represented was the Clinton's sellout to corporate friends and donors. Remember: Sen. Clinton was a board member of Wal-Mart, perhaps the premier beneficiary of NAFTA. Just go in there and it'll be hard to find a product that is NOT from China.

僕の超復活方法は、医者に行ってクスリ（抗生物質と解熱剤）を飲み、
ユンケルの一番高いやつと、ビタミンCを30粒くらい一気飲み。
風邪の時は、栄養不足なので、いくらビタミンとっても
シ○ンベンが黄色くなりません(笑)
で、黄色くなったら勝ち、ということで。

うまくいけば一晩で直ります。

What about us!!   Who thinking about us the tavern owners?? these polls that are taken are missing the mark completly you ask every body if they would like a smoke free envirment to enjoy a cocktail with out concidering that 90% of these people frequent a liqiour establishment less than once per month and have less than 3 beverages at a sitting. why don't you put your polls inside our establishments and see what the results are.  Ask your self this : If a smoking band were to go into effect are you going to change your drinking habits and frequent your favorite establishment 3-4 times per week and average 5 drinks per sitting?? I doubt it !! Remember this 90% of alchol is comsumed by 10% of the people so In your polls you take to decide whats best for my business you are asking 90% of people who do not enter a tavern but once every 45 days or so.
  Pass this band and i will thank you for the vacation because it will drive me out of business and my wife and I along with my 12 employees will enoy the benifits of unemployment and you can have the honor of supporting us for the maximum amount of time we can stay on the system
