in Arsene Wenger Slams Referees After Graham Poll Highlights Weaknesses in Officials on EPL Talk
I'm an Arsenal fan but I think Wenger is really overreacting. Poll's not condoning this but he's just stating the truth as it is and for Wenger to react like this is him not accepting reality and not actually listening to what was said. Why is he concerned about this anyway? He should be focusing on the team and not this (even if the question was asked by a journalist).

in Chances Galore on Gooner Talk
This is very true and I think Wenger would want exactly the same thing, because he always talks about his team being 'efficient'. Oh and more goals scored due to better finishing would mean that our defence would have less pressure on them because they wouldn't have to push forward as much. However we still also need to deal with the problems of conceding easy goals and conceding first.

Arsenal are probably one of the most technically demanding teams in the world, as for Simek, that was a long time ago and back then Arsenal's academy was not as strong as it is now because Wenger has had time to develop it.

in Clichy & Eboue May Miss Kiev Tie on Gooner Talk
If Silvestre isn't fit, Sagna can play LB. Remember he can play all across the back four and even as a holding midfielder. Toure can play RB with Djourou partnering Gallas.

I still think that Eboue and Clichy will both be fit though.

in Clichy & Eboue May Miss Kiev Tie on Gooner Talk
Apparently Nasri is a 'big doubt'. So will this mean a start for Silvestre at LB (if he's fit)? And who's gonna play left/right wing. We might see Song and Denilson in the middle with Cesc on the right and Theo on the left, similar to yesterday except Theo will be playing left wing instead of Eboue.

I think both should be fit though. He said he still needs to assess them and he probably didn't know more than we did at the time of the interview.

in Match Preview: Blackburn v Arsenal (Premier League) on Gooner Talk
I think Nasri will play because he was rested for the game so hopefully he's recovered.

Almunia
Sagna - Toure - Gallas - Clichy
Eboue - Fabregas - Denilson - Nasri
Adebayor - van Persie

This is my expected starting line up, although if Nasri is injured, I think Wenger will go for:

Almunia
Sagna - Toure - Gallas - Clichy
Eboue - Fabregas - Denilson - Walcott
Adebayor - van Persie

Oh and not only did Liverpool get Torres and Gerrard fit but Man U also got Hargreaves and Carrick fit. Cheating bastards.

Guess what guys? Rosicky's had another setback in his recovery. It seems he won't be back 'till October now.

in “Minor Setback” For New-Boy Silvestre While Nasri Remains A “Doubt” on Gooner Talk
What is wrong with Diaby? He was supposed to be back by now and now we have to wait probably until the end of September for him to play. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't manage to nail down a place (despite having the talent to do so) due to injuries and the fact that he's missed pre-season and probably wouldn't be on the same level (physically and mentally) as his team mates when he returns.

GoonerChris He should be back soon, I think Wenger doesn't want to put him in too early just in case of any reoccurances.

in No Arsenal Move For Appiah on Gooner Talk
Mineiro will NOT happen, and I hope it doesn't. This is someone leaving the mighty Hertha Berlin and apparently Birmingham are interested in him.

As for Appiah, he's injury prone, hasn't played a run of games for ages and I think we have better players than him for CM.

France owe so much to Arsenal. Five of their starting XI have been or are associated with Arsenal.

If we were actually bought by someone I wouldn't want it to be Usmanov who has records of illegal activity and is admittedly a Man U supporter. Oh and he's not that rich either. Buying Arsenal outright could cost up to £1bn, and he doesn't have that kind of money in the bank (most of it will be invested in business, properties etc.) so he'd likely take a loan to buy us and put the club into debt.

If we were bought by someone, I'd rather it be a football loving, Arsenal supporting, excessively rich billionaire who is hands off and let's the manager do his job.

Yay, the second coming of Dennis Bergkamp in his son. What more could an Arsenal fan want?

in Barton Baiting and Moral High-ground on Gooner Talk
The Abu Dhabi group don't actually care about Man City. The only reason they bought them is to promote Abu Dhabi, not because they love the club (probably hadn't even heard of them), want to take it to new heights or probably even want to use it as a plaything as Abramovich does with Chelsea.

in Appiah Linked + No Ramsey Bid From Cardiff on Gooner Talk
That's an excellent point. Let's wait 'till our next game and the other top4/City's next game before we start judging. There's not only one way to do things in football as Arsene is proving.

Xabi Alonso is never worth £16m+, especially if he's cup tied. Instead of that I'd rather just stick with Song, Diaby and Denilson.

in Appiah Linked + No Ramsey Bid From Cardiff on Gooner Talk
I don't think Robinho wouldn't have moved to City (not even for the money) if he hadn't gotten himself into such deep shit by talking about how he never wanted to play for Madrid again etc. I think he just got stuck with City because Chelsea didn't offer enough money and he certainly couldn't stay at Madrid anymore.

in Wenger - The Antithesis Of Evil As Yet Another One Bites The Dust on Gooner Talk
Those guys are such disrespectful assholes. They're already saying that they're gonna buy all of the best players from their premier league rivals (well they're not on par with us yet) to disrupt them.

My brother isn't really a football fan but he follows Arsenal a bit because I do and he said that he would support Man U if we had been bought by this group, I wouldn't ever support those Manc cunts but I wouldn't follow Arsenal with such as great a passion as I do if we were taken over by these guys and started going to other clubs and offering them £135m for one bloody player. Ronaldo will never be as great as Zidane yet tehy're gonna pay three times as much for him?

Also, I was surprised the article didn't mention Man U's disgraceful activity yesterday either.

I've got no problems with Flamini. He was out of contract and had every right to leave. Hleb on the other hand was pathetic.
