Well, if its any consolation, I do respect RPK for sticking to his guns. We live in interesting times.
On Anwar, I'm not sure I want him to be PM either.

Darn work. Makes me read blogs slower and end up as No. 44 on the comment list (what a number?!)
Well, just wanted to drop by and *applaud*. Don't stop being honest because that's what makes you, you.

Nang if you like, dang if you don't. That's democracy I guess. I've seen this stuff happen over at Digg so perhaps this is the nature of the community? Or any community that's of this nature? I say stick to your own principles and be not bothered with what the rest do.

Good post. Well-researched and well thought out. Would just like to add my two sens that while I am in no way a BN supporter, I find that the opposition has equally not made its case as to why it should govern our country. Rather, they have been making very simple, surface promises of lowering fuel prices etc etc. without a well-debated or publicised plan.
It saddens me that politics become more about race than actually discussing what's good for the country. Still, I'm willing to give change a chance. Who knows?

Hey Su Ann,
I'm a Chinese (as you may know) and I love my country - race and all. What disappoints me is that race has to become such a huge factor in every civil / social issue.
Not too long ago, the government was talking about a "Bangsa Malaysia" where everyone living in our country would identify more with our nationality than our ethnicity. What's happened to that? How did we revert back into groupig ourselves with our races?
This elections, my vote won't go to Chinese, Malay or Indian politicians. It won't go to BN or Opposition. I'm going to vote for the person I feel would best represent the interests of the constituency, would be responsible and transparent, and would make good on promises. Hope many more do the same.

This actually makes sense.
Hardware makers need to go get more software / application expertise whilst companies like Microsoft need to get more device makers (Motorola's handset division, anyone?)

It'd be unfair to generalise in this situation. There are about as many Christian jerks as there are Muslim ones. But you hit the nail in that if these people really embraced their religion, their conduct would have been vastly different.
The problem isn't with whether you're Muslim or Christian. It is with the person inside.
