if the US Post office would replace it's fleet with
Natural Gas powered Hybrid SUV's that would be a
big opportunity for Detroit.

USPS runs a nationwide fleet, it's big enough to justify
a decent production run and if you bid Hybrid CNG
SUV's they would have enough room for a lot of mail.

The US Produces a lot of Natural gas, the bybrids would
really do well in dropping mail, and most of these are
available in right hand drive versions anyway
and if you made them dual fuel, you could manage through
any gas price spikes.

there are about 45000 zip codes, so figure 20 vehicles
per post office, and you are talking almost a million vehicles.
that's a decent production run.

Make Ford and GM share subsystems, and bid them
by region.

I'm sure WF announced this, as being very profitable,
as long as they don't have to M2M any of their Assets.

If you look at WF Balance sheet, you should be terrified.
WF has a 7.6% Equity, when it should be 10%.
of that 2.5% is TARP, so WF is really 5% equity.
Their balance sheet is loaded with MBS, junior mortgages,
credit card debt and mortgages of poor quality.

i figure they are negative 25 Billion in real terms.

this is just a play to sucker people

housing affordability is better but until all the foreclosures
begin working their way out through and the market settles down
will we know what's really happening.

Every spring is good, and it's april, and given the tsunami
coming, i wouldn't want to be anwhere near the

well it was a mess.

Cheney wanted to cancel the A-12 in part because it was overweight, behind schedule and over budget plus the Lockheed people were not sharing any stealth technology with McAir.

I don't know who was right, certainly the program was in deep trouble, and Cheney ordered it cancelled, the Navy Admiral refused to send the Stop Work Order so Cheney did it, which
was illegal in he wasn't the "Agent of Record".

McAir sued, got a billion and change, then got locked out
of every other DoD gig. The Navy fought cheney and he
wrecked the careers of every Attack pilot in the navy.


So it was a disaster all the way around.
