The only appropriate use is a 'temporary' url (be it twitter/email etc.).

I agree with your entire post (it's rare I agree with your entire posts, normally just some!).

There is no excuse (more than ever) to give out about location. I do think it helps to make these contacts in person - but that will only come with hard graft of attending the industry events.

VC's should be the last on your mind if you don't have the other contacts to back you.

I was wondering this today, how did an entire industry set up around sharing Ringtones, Operator Logos etc... I guess the early day 'mobile' widgets.

It all same from having a payment gateway in the delivery engine.... i.e.'SMS'. This might be what we're missing for widgets. Would you pay for the delivery of a widget? Maybe the Sniperoo as the link.

Hi Giles. You need to use the premium edition. It has an SLA for your data. It will work just like outlook exchange within an office environment, sharing events and contacts on the domain.

Yes, I've seen that floating around since July/August. I started work at the time been working on one with the traffic data in Dublin: http://mapping.bytesurgery.com/test.php I have the points on the junctions out of the XML file from Dublin City Corp, but never had the time to overlay the congestion data.

There's someone in college attempting to get something similar to the DART one running on a mobile phone. Should be interesting!

Paul, I got the feeling the green was only due to it being a single colour lithograph and he happened to pick green. Nothing to do with Ireland - nor by any means a suggestion as a logo.

The domain is ghastly isn't it... 'decisions' and 'heroes' are both impossible spellings. Any suggestions for a 'shortcut' domain?

Finetuna is GREAT. And a great name. I specc'd this for http://www.imagefile.ie 1.5yrs ago as a rebrandable service for their clients but it went no further. Really glad someone has done it.
