in Cablevision pulls plug on Kung Fu HD on Kung Fu Cinema
Hey...I was actually starting to learn how to speak Chinese and Japanese from watching that channel!! I learned a lot more from that channel than stupid American Idol crap!!! Wake up folks...the Government is trying to keep you dumbed down and stupid!! Thats why the people at Obama Inauguration were too stupid to go in there and remove those who were really responsible for the country economic problem today. CONGRESS!!! Instead they stand there as a bunch of followers of some jackass word called change!! Well...dont just stand there folks...make the change then!!Get up off your butts and start using your brains!!! And throw out all these crooks including the owners of these cable companies!!!

in Shaw Brothers classics premiere on Kung Fu HD on Kung Fu Cinema
Just goes to show how the world is going in the toilet! I would much rather watch a classic kung fu movie than the dumbing down reality shows of today! Shame on Cablevision and Voom for dropping Kung Fu HD. And by the way cable...shouldnt we be entitled to a lesser monthly bill now since you arent giving us what you advertised it for?? Tahnks God for my dvd's. Thats all I have left now!

in Heaven is Not Our Home on Dale Fincher
God has affirmed this concept very personally for me these last few years. anybody can refute my personal experience, and i always seek truth above what "sounds/feels" right...but my first spark of this concept started after i read "Sacred Romance." i don't remember his exact concept of heaven, but it sparked in me this idea that eternal life is more that just floating spirits in a white light, that if God created this earth and its beauty (now flawed by sin), why wouldn't this concept of a new Heaven and new Earth be all that i've longed for in this life and much, much more?? why would i get less than the beauty and wonder and variety and majesty of this earth He's created? He has seemed to affirm that all i long for and can't fulfill right now (because of where He's placed us)-- special childhood places, exploring the world, living near special people in my life-- that the new Heaven and New Earth will be this and SO much more, and as I joke about to my husband, "if not here, I WILL get to climb Long's Peak then." :)
all that to say, His glimpse of what is in store has helped settle and comfort and ease some of my longings here.

Hmmm... That's a toughy with those dimensions. Maybe a rug like this? The runner is close to the dimensions your looking for. What about 2 smaller rectangles?

If that link doesn't stick, its the Herringbone Jute Rug at thecompanystore.com (one of my favorite online shopping sites)

OK, we have to find you some beautiful bedding to match that pretty wall. Is that a queen size?

I'm thinking something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/HOTEL-COLLECTION-Color-Bloc... instead of the green, maybe a dark brown color.

good questions to think about...
what's your opinion on allowing those things? what do you see as the downfalls?

Hey! I love your blog! I love the topics that you write about and (of course) the politics. In fact, I'm just about positive I know more about you now than I did when we were in High School!

i think you hit it on the head when you recognized the fear that people will reject the real you. i think that is our biggest fear if we let ourselves admit it.

as far as celebrity authors, i try to look at it from this perspective: if it brings depth and transformation to lives caught in the world, then great. i know there are less noble realities, and the material is nothing new, but sometimes that's what it takes for people so enthralled with bestsellers and "the latest thing." i see the book in the airport and think, "well, this might catch someone's attention that grabs the crazy book next to it."

i personally am not wooed by the popularity but know it can reach those on the fringes. and then God has to deal with the after effects. :)

That is so tragic. Homosexuality was clearly so important to Jesus that he preached about it often. Right? Didn't he? No??? NEVER. He didn't. Jesus was too busy preaching love for one another. Didn't Jesus know that the Right Wing Republicans would care more about having a group to target as outsiders and sinners than love and care for everyone?

VERY good description about the process of adjusting. i look forward to seeing the fincher family story unfold in the future, through joy and sorrow.

I voted no. If it was the same silver finish it would look fine. Personally, I would shop for a new fixture. Your new dining room set NEEDS one. ;)

I read that Huckabee quote on Feministing today and just couldn't believe it. It makes me so embarassed to be a Christian when they say stuff like that.

I don't remember what its called, but Mystery Bush 2? I had one at our old house and it was gorgeous in the summer. It would get HUMONGOUS and had these gorgeous flowers on it. I loved it. What is the name of that???

in Audio: Jim Wallis on ‘Speaking of Faith’ with Krista Tippett on God's Politics
I was blessed by your words (Jim Wallis) when you were speaking about your experience in your own church as a child and talked of the very evangelical preacher came into town and all of the "unsaved" had to sit in the front row. The preacher began preaching and pointed at you saying that if Jesus were to come back today your parents would be gone and you would be alone. wow! But the response that your Mother gave you after that was like a breath of fresh air. She said "God's love, not His wrath." (quoted, but I believe that is correct if my memory serves me right.)

I learned to fear God. Unhealthy fear. Didn't even know what was going on. It's damaging for someone like that preacher you heard to get behind a pulpit and spread fear into hearts.

Your Mother is an example of what leaders/everyone needs to be spreading. Love not wrath. Wrath to me equals and manifests itself into fear so that you can't even experience the true love and tenderness of God. I still get sick to my stomach walking to the front of the church. puke. ( in a good way I guess?...hope that's not too graphic. sorry)

But thank you. I needed to hear your words (your Mothers) this evening. Love not wrath. That's good leadership to spread, model, and communicate. God is Love. Thank goodness He continues to work on me....$%*#I'm a piece of work. I continually push God away....intentionally! and He just won't go! It does get frustrating. I can't get rid of this God! And I say no a lot.

Grace to you,

Guliani is a mob backed, incestuous stooge!!

You need to look at Ron Paul, and if you don't agree with what he stands for then you aren't really an American but a Neo-Con!!

Thanks!
