And not so fast nor easy. Take out the notebook to jot all down. (your should see my guidebook cover) &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Internet cafes - Well again, jotting down all the info, printing maps etc takes time and money. Having a guide book there is a great reference. Yes I use Hostel . coms and searches for my hotels hostels etc as once in the guide book they are only good for inflated prices, the mob en masse. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I am with Two Crabs on this one. Thorn Tree has been a life saver. New info is great if read correctly. I jot it down in my guide book and I am gone. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;But out in reality I like to have something in paper in case the lights go out, which they quite often do in the places I mentions. Least of all if my laptop/PDA/Phone  went pop!
