Can I make a "hamburger" out of kangaroo? Pork in Canada is cheap, but most our good beef goes to the hungry Americans! I betcha the Chinese will pay top dollar for good tasting protein, and they won't turn their noses up at it either! Trade it for some of their cool cars!

What if, by careful exploitation of the latest technologies and healthy restriction of your demands, you could reduce them to the point where a smaller system would prove adequate? What if a "zero operating cost, zero upkeep" shelter could be devised? Can we really survive on less? off the land? Does modern technology offer a free lifestyle hitherto unknown to mankind? I appreciate that your book is printed on recycled paper. I only wish you to take things one step further and use Hemp paper. Growing Hemp (not dope, silly Yank!) in large amounts on semi-arable land will take the pressure off forests and provide more fiber for paper per acre per year than trees can. Hemp is also a source of edible oil, fiber for plastic car parts, bio-diesel, fiber for clothing and improves poor farmland due to it's deep roots! It grows wild and naturally in the U.S. and Canada, but was outlawed in the 1930s by unscrupulous government manipulation for cotton growers. Now-a-days, a simple lab test will determine if a farmer is growing dope instead of hemp, so the risk is no longer there, but the law stays on the books out of ignorance and we pay high prices to import hemp from communist China! Are we assholes or what! We gotta change this, and soon, - The air we breathe is at stake! Keep publishing, keep it green, and for our children's sake, please consider Hemp!

Americans are on the verge of desperately needing "Zero running cost, Zero upkeep" cheap, practical survival dwellings! Due to the $700 billion fiasco OPEC has embarked on "Purchasing Power Parity Pricing" for oil, and China and Japan have recoiled from our "Fiat" - 'print as you go' money system. Hopefully, the Obama crew, with its educated, up to date, computer savvy and internet aware outlook will be able to reach the Russian people and make progress towards at least friendship before the Chinese decide that Russia is a huge natural resource preserve theirs for the taking. We can no longer play fast and easy, in arrogant fashion, but must buckle down and do right in the world to survive. America and Americans have few friends and too much debt in the world to allow our own arrogance and sloth to rule our decisions. The shit is about to hit the fan, if China guts us it will be ours! beware America, the end is here! The writing is on the wall, military might won't help, and we are weaker now than ever before. The oil barons own our asses, the world wants the Euro for a new standard, the fiat monetary system we had is broken, we have no gold and fewer Euros, we are in a bad bind! We can't even out manufacture the yellow and tan hoards, and we no longer feed the world, we burn it in our cars instead. This is not a happy picture. The world is on to us and we are about to suffer the consequences of our neo-con past.

Sell out of the suburbs and head for the hills and a Victory garden around and eco-home! The uber-rich have run out of coffers to pilfer, they did the corporate raids, they ate real-estate alive, they ran the price of oil, they stole the world's gold, they even tried to screw Russia, they went to war for the military/industrial complex and huge profits, they sold us SUV's all the way up to the ridiculously extravagant Hummer(design center = 4 years), they ran the world prices of grain to the point of starvation in some countries, and they poured billions into 'nation building' in Iraq for their own profit! We are next, they will find a way, and screw us too! They will die, or kill us preferably, before they give up there horrendously extravagant lifestyles. beware the hungry uber-rich in their private jets and multiple mansions! We are all they have left to eat, and they are insatiable!

Slowly but surely we work our way into the 21st Century, and what a glorious time it is! We stepped off of the farms and into the 20th century with a mechanical/industrial steam and gasoline base. In the 21st Century the pn junction rules. Electronics leads the way to our new future. Our schools should be advised of this, lest we end up buying developments from other nations like India and China due to our negligence of this education.

Internet radio is great! It is probably thr best medium for advertising condoms, sex toys and other adult paraphernalia. Make a suburb or even exurb from them for the elderly retiree with smaller income. Hook the exurb to public transit, give each unit a garden ares, do water conservation in the design, use composting waterless toilets, LED solar lights, solar hearing, geothermal heating, solar (passive) heating, do a real design job with survival on low incomes in mind, prepare for the coming depression, use suber insulation. Don't be shy, use as much brainpower as possible to yield a 'Zero running cost' survival dwelling. Wind power for 50k homes is fantastic, but are those homes energy efficient? We must strive for efficient and frugal use of power to succeed. Nuclear power is irreplaceable for ships and subs. We must conserve it for these purposes. The remaining oil has irreplaceable applications and must be allocated for them. Coal exploitation is still at the primitive, ‘You burn it for heat’ stage, Come on, biology, chemistry and physics, modernize this wonder-fuel into something we can use safely! Wind is about to be revealed to the American people by the last great energy prophet, T. Boone Pickens. Using his genius, we will be able to adapt to using much less oil in a very comfortable manner. The South Western U.S. is currently being bought up by those ‘in the know’ financial people, and solar power is a modern reality, and our power grids are growing to accommodate this huge free resource. Good news for us! Bad news for the oil barons! We will kick their asses good, they will never hi-jack another prosperous American economy. We don’t need to fight their (The Saudis) dirty Suni war either. We can survive very well on the oil we pump from our own lands. We have seen the light, we have developed the technology and we are about to elect the government that will, in spite of the oil barons lobby, implement an America free from parasite oil nations.
