in HTTP POST via the CFNetwork stack on ~james/developer/blog
Thanks for the guide!

One nitpick: I've had trouble getting this code to work for submitting POST requests - the server wasn't seeing the parameters. Eventually, I found that using "application/x-www-form-urlencoded" for the Content-Type header field instead of "charset=utf-8" did the trick.

in How To Pick My Favorite Web Services on How To Split An Atom
I have to agree on StumbleUpon. It's the only "web 2.0" service that I've actually recommended to (non-web-2.0-interested) friends.

A couple of months ago I said on my blog that we'll see websites starting to add social networking features, and that in a couple of years these features will be as common as comments are today. Looks like that's what Digg is doing - doesn't mean they're turning into a social network.

http://blog.clutterme.com/2007/07/why-pownce-ma...

What they're doing makes sense to me (though I agree they should work on fixing the comments and making the pages load faster). I can also understand why people are complaining.

The great thing? We'll all get to see how this move affects Digg's traffic over the next few months. Expect a lot of people to be watching this very closely.

LinkedIn has a very solid concept, but it can learn a thing or two about interface design from Facebook. It didn't seem at all intuitive the first few days I used it.

While my start-up (ClutterMe.com) isn't necessarily a direct competitor to LinkedIn, this is still very interesting news. Feels like a social-network bubble coming up... but there still seems to be a lot of room for growth.
