YOU are CORRECT.  Monte Pollino is the BEST olive oil ...unfortunately Trader Joe’s has discontinued it ... and I am at a loss. Monte Pollino comes from the are of Sicily where my mother spent most of her childhood.

I think people with zillions of kids are actually ADDICTED to it. They are addicted to the being needed and being unconditionally loved. Sure I guess we all might be...but for these people..having children feeds that need and they almost cannot help themselves. Strangely enough kids in large families seem to love it. I even have a friend with 10 kids and her kids seem happy as could be. I however do think they do not get enough individual attention and yes the older ones have to take on a lot of responsibility. Then again...her teenagers are not drunk and pregnant so maybe its a good thing? Hard to say...but I think having even one kid is selfish...so having 10 is COMPLETELY self serving and an insult to the planet we live on.

i spent a night in jail for punching my EX husband....and it did not even hurt him...oh ya an he deserved a lot more than that. I still cant believe i went home to HIM that next morning instead of filing for divorce. That took another year or so...but I did eventually get rid of him and I couldnt be happier! Not saying at all that you shoudl divorce...just that I know the feeling of being in jail for domestic assualt. Great times.

Very thoughtful post, Micah. While the physical feature set doesn't work so well for me (unless it's time to become a lesbian), the quality list is extremely helpful. I plan to print that out and remember it when I get involved again. I'm about to finalize my divorce after a two-year plus separation, and a relationship that developed in the meantime just ended...both because they didn't have all the essential qualities on this list -- especially the last 3. I guess I've learned they should be dealbreakers.

Yeah, I'm currently open to the idea of examining common female characteristics which are borne out of her body's influence on her. I am wary of this for potential abuses: hyper-freudian or highly metaphorical stuff (ex. She has soft skin, so is naturally soft-spoken)


Re: niceties: People who pride themselves on being offensive don't impress me; that's what I mean. We don't like people who are falsely polite, but

sometimes no distinction is made between "politeness" and "false politeness" - this makes the impolite person seem more noble for behaving like a jack---.

I love the "Jesus was offensive and I am offensive, so I am like Jesus" logic. Our age hates false niceties, but must we hate all niceties?


I wish "feminine" could be used to only describe a female body. Would love to have more conversations about what it is to be human - much more useful.
