I think there are going to be more and more second homes and so called investments for sale over the next several months. However, it's hard to predict when these investments will show a return. You might have to sit on them for ten years.

Re: Your raise has just been eaten by inflation

I do not know how long we can keep going like this in our country. I paid $100.00 to fill my car up with gas this week. Not sure what the answer is, but something needs to change!

Re: Economic Data and Its Effects on Mortgage Rates

This was a really great post...Sometimes I have a difficult time keeping all this straight, much less explaining it to someone. Yes, you are right...we must keep in mind that history does repeat itself and learn from our mistakes!

Re: Doing my Civic Duty

Fortunately I have never been asked to serve on a jury. However, many of my friends have been I summoned for this experience. I hear that it can be a long boring process. Hope you escape the torture!

Re: Turning Away “Business”…

I think that more agents need to be honest with their clients and give them a true value of their property. The agents need to determine the price not the sellers. This approach will help keep market prices realistic, and it only takes one to ruin the market. We sell land and we are having this problem with a local agent. He is listing everything above market price. This isn't good for the market or the seller. Overpricing a property is an injustice to the seller.

Re: Thompson’s Realty Welcomes The Butterworth Group!

Sounds like this is going to be a great addition to your team!

Re: The 93rd Carnival of Real Estate: Chow Time!

Sounds like a fun event...too bad I live in Georgia.

Re: Monsoon Brings Earth Fissure Woes in Queen Creek

Yes...in real estate it is important to be informed about many aspects of the land and homes around you.
