in Twitter’s Response to #fixreplies: We Can’t on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
So, there was this feature. And it was working. And then they pulled it and people complained. Now they say, "it was serious technical problem." Could they be more vague? I'm not buying it.

"but at least that case seems unrelated to favors and gifts from oil companies and lobbyists"

What about those $25,000 in gifts she's received as Governor. There's also the problem with the bidding process for the pipeline that has no start date, but has cost the Alaskans $500million. Given her role in Steven's fund raising, she's not looking all that different from him.

He also doesn't seem to get that when he claims she did well in the Couric interviews, it makes him look inept. Nobody thinks she did well. So, now, on top of having bad judgment in picking her, we see how that could happen: he's delusional.

in Does Experience Matter? -- Political Wire on Political Wire
When it comes to being "ready for the 3AM call" no one except a previous president has that experience. If being near the president counts as experience, then we should have a hereditary monarchy where wives and children are the "best candidate" for the position because they've been close to someone who had to handle this level of crisis. But history has proven that even being groomed for such a job doesn't necessarily mean that one is qualified.

So, you have base your choice on who you think as the appropriate temperament and judgment to handle crises well, with a handle of the immediate but also the long-term ramifications.

Jake Eh, I so agree with this argument. I wish Obama would make it. At my last count there are only 8 people alive who actually are qualified to take the "3am phone call." And two of them aren't eligible.
